Where can I get smoked string cheese in DC?

I can't find it anywhere.

Can I get authentic Pakistani (or Indian) Achari Chicken in DC???

I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Krispy Kreme Luther Burger?

I'll be in Atlanta for the weekend. Where can I get one of these? I read that Mulligans in Decatur closed.

SOUTHERN FOOD ATL. Only have time for one, which is the best? Mary Mac's, Collanade...?

I'm leaning towards Mary Mac's right now. I read some negative, but also that it has returned to its former greatness over the past few years. My second choice is Collanade. Which is the better of those two? Or is there something even better I am missing?

I'll be staying downtown and would prefer not to have to drive to far. I'm looking for the most authentic, historic, classic, ect... southern restaurant.

STRANGEST / Off-beat/unique restaurant/food item in ATLANTA. (UPDATE!)

DragonCon is near and once again I am headed to Atlanta with my wife. One year ago I posted this and we made it to "Dante's Down the Hatch", "Ann's Snack Bar, and "The Vortex". In a non-related addition, we hit The Varsity and Gladys Knight's as well. This year we are headed to Flip Burger to get a liquid nitrogen cooled milkshake and "Mulligans" in Decatur for a Hamdog and Luther burger (Krispy Kreme Doughnut burger). Does anyone have any additions or suggestions we have missed? Also this year I was thinking of looking for a restaurant where a famous movie scene was filmed or a restaurant where a food dish was invented. Thanks again for all the suggestions last year, we had a great time.

This was my post from last year....

I am driving from Jacksonville to Atlanta for a weekend. I am looking for the strangest / off-beat restaurant on the way and in Atlanta. Food dosen't have to be prime chow, but extremely "wierd" dishes or atmosphere is the key. The more out there the better.

Looking for Orlando: classic, famous, institutions, unusual specials, best kept secret

I'm am headed to Orlando this weekend and I love interesting and authentic local food. I am looking to check out their most classic / old / famous / institutions. Or a cheap hole in the wall off the beaten path (with good chow) also works. Also, best kept secrets, unusual specials, crazy decor, or authentic and local that you can't get anywhere else.

Jacksonville - Know of any restaurant that will fry my turkey?

I'm trying to free up space in my freezer and I would like to fry a turkey. I live in an apartment and cannot fry it myself. I know around Thanksgiving some restaurants advertise they will fry your turkey for a fee. Is there any place around Jax that does this year round? The closer to Riverside / San Marco the better.

Dragon Con Food / Drink Advice

Its my first time going and would appreciate any advice. Are there certain restaurants nearby that are popular with Dragon Con folks? Also any ideas for drinking at Dragon Con? Drink at the convention in the hotels or at bars nearby? Are the prices insane inside the convention? And where to drink there?

My plan is to attend Sunday only and I am curious about the availability of single day passes (will they be sold out when I show up Sunday morning) and any other information anyone might have, such as things to be sure to see as well as avoid inside the convention.

STRANGEST! / Off-beat restaurant in ATLANTA!

I guess my post gave it away. Yes Dragon Con it is. Its my first time going and would appreciate any advice on that as well. I am attending on Sunday but will be in Atlanta Saturday afternoon and Monday morning. I am curious about the availability of single day passes (will they be sold out when I show up Sunday morning) and any other information anyone might have, such as things to be sure to see as well as avoid. Can't wait for Dante's and I'm going to try my luck getting in and out of Ann's Snack Bar without a tounge lashing. Any ideas for alcohol at Dragon Con? Drink there? Are the prices insane? And where to drink there? Thanks for all the suggestions so far!

Live aligators and pig ear sandwich's are exactly what I am looking for. Thanks!

STRANGEST! / Off-beat restaurant in ATLANTA!

I am driving from Jacksonville to Atlanta to spend the weekend in Atlanta on Friday. I am looking for the strangest / off-beat restaurant on the way and in Atlanta. Food dosen't have to be prime chow, but extremely "wierd" dishes or atmosphere is the key. The more out there the better. Examples elsewhere in the world include eating in the dark at Pitch Black in Beijing, Vampire Cafe' in Tokyo, Heart Attack Grill in Chandler AZ, and The Safe House in Milwaukee WI. Thank you!!!!!!
