Good ginger beer selection in northeastern MA/southern NH?

I recently picked up a 6-pack of Gosling's Ginger Beer at my local Stop & Shop in CT - it's a lot better IMO than Vernors or Reed's, nicely spicy and not too sweet. It's made by Polar, I think, so should be readily available in MA/NH too.

Florida Hound Seeking Advice Near Cheshire, CT

Head down Rte 10 to Hamden and check out the Glenwood Drive-In: excellent grilled hot-dogs, and pretty good fried seafood and lobster rolls (not quite as good as the seafood as Lenny & Joe's Fish Tail in Madison, but still pretty good and a lot closer to Cheshire). For breakfast & lunch, Bread & Chocolate has fine baked goods, panini, etc., and the Whitney Donut Shop is a good place for donuts & sandwiches -- they're both on Rte 10 in Hamden, not far from the Glenwood.

For foliage, it's still a week or so shy of peak around here. I'd recommend a drive east on Rte 68 to Durham. Very pretty.

Homemade corned beef hash in New Haven/ Fairfield county?

They serve a very good homemade hash at The Sandwich Board in Hamden (at Skiff St/Whitney Ave).

Plus, the homefries are usually cooked nice and crispy the way I like them, and the homemade muffins are also good. I've never had a bad breakfast there.

Griff's Chicken Shack-Hamden, CT

I stopped in the other day - very tasty chicken.

The red beans and rice are also very good, full of flavor and big chunks of meat.
