I am going for my 1st time ever to an Indian restaurant in Studio City tonight. I would like to know some favorite dishes that chowhounders like to order. So far Saag Paneer and Chicken Tikki Masala. What else - especially lamb rec's - or any others? Thank you.

I've been making my own at home and am wondering if anyone has had any around town. With the revival of a lot of old school drinks and dishes, I'm curious. It is SO GOOD!

Change at ocean star?
Just went yesterday after a diet hitaus of 6 months; what is the deal with the new Ocean Star for dim-sum? Seemed like it must be under new ownership - new dim-sum menu and missing many of the items that I used to go for. I enjoyed some of the new tastes, but missed the old too much. What is my best bet for my next dim-sum and calorie-busting outing - cart-style? Yes I go to Empress Pavilion often. Thanks!
