Visiting Fort Lauderdale - Need Recs!
Hello --
So heading to Fort Lauderdale for an extended Memorial Day Weekend vacation with my former college roommates. We will be staying on Ft. Lauderdale Beach, and will not have a car, so ideally we're looking for recommendations close to the beach or heading towards Las Olas. For the majority of the meals we would like it to be moderately priced with the exception one nice dinner.
We enjoy pretty much all cuisines (American, Italian, Mexican). Nothing too crazy though because two of them have severe nut allergies, and then one is a vegetarian. So keeping those restraints in mind, the fact this is a vague topic, I would really appreciate any recommendations!
Thanks!

Help! Last minute Saturday dinner reservation
I know this is very last minute but my parents are visiting for the weekend and we are trying to decide where to go Saturday evening. Friday night we already have reservations at Oyamel, which I am very excited about because I love Jaleo and I am looking forward to trying another Andres restaurant. Saturday night I was hoping to get into Central, unfortunately I waited to long on making reservations and the only times left are for either the early bird special, or 9pm.
Here is our criteria,
Party of 4, looking for something moderately priced (under 30 dollar entrees) and cuisine wise, nothing too adventures. Fusion-American, America, Italian, maybe not Mexican because we're doing Oyamel on Friday, French even. Definitely no Indian or Ethiopian (My mother is not very adventurous when it comes trying different cuisines.) I know this puts a constraint on where we go, but I'd appreciate any help. Also, it should be metro accessible, I live in DC so anything DC/Arlington/Alexandria is fine with me.
We presently have reservations at Siroc, and my question is should we keep them or look elsewhere? How does Darlington House compare?
Thanks!

Pre-Theatre Drinks and Apps
Hi,
Going to a show at National Theatre Wednesday night, and so before the show we are looking for a good place to have a couple drinks and apps. In particular looking for a place that have good margaritas or sangria. Since w e are only looking for apps/small plates the food is secondary and we're flexible on the cuisine, mexican, american, etc.
Happy Hour in Pentagon City/Crystal City/DC area
If you are in your 20s-30s or just care for a cheap beer then Rock Bottom Brewery in Ballston has 1.25 drafts every Wednesday.. cannot beat the price.
BBQ Pork Buns
From what I have been reading on Chowhound, I am getting the impression that DC is not known for very good Chinese food, which is unfortunate because being from Boston we have some very good spots in Chinatown.
However I am wondering if there is a place within the Metro DC area where I could get a good bbq portk bun?
Thanks!
Best Jose Andres restaurant in DC
I have only been to Jaleo, which in my short time of living in DC, was a terrific dining experience. Unfortunately when I went back in August, the short ribs were off the menu, I am assuming because they were a seasonal item but those were terrific.
A friend of mine raves about Cafe Atlantico, however I believe I may Oyamel next. I am a big fan of Mexican and I have good things about their pollo mole.
Quick, good bites around Farragut square/Dupont
Hi! I just recently moved to Washington, DC, so I am still getting acclimated with my surroundings and figuring out what the best bites are. I already have a love for Jaleo...but I digress.
I work right around Farragut/Dupont and I am looking for recs for the best quick bites, be it for lunch or something after work. i am thinking either sandwiches or pizza. I know there is Cosi, Au Bon Pan, but I am looking for a place that's not a national chain.
Another question I have is where are the best burritos (this can just be the whole district, not just confined to the area in which I work).
Thanks!
Best Buffalo Chicken Pizza?
Thanks! Yeah, I am starting to question whether or not buffalo chicken pizza is more of a Northeast thing. Since I live relatively close to Ledo's Pizza I may as well check it out.
Best Buffalo Chicken Pizza?
Hi,
I recently graduated college and just moved to Washington, DC and I find that one of the best parts of exploring a new city is finding the best restaurants.
I am a huge buffalo chicken pizza fan, and so I was wondering if there is a great spot to get it in DC? I live in Georgetown, so it would be nice if it was close to there but if not, it doesn't really matter!
Thanks!
Best Buffalo Chicken Pizza?
I have always been a fan of Inbound Pizza's verison of Buffalo Chicken Pizza, perfect blend of buffalo chicken and ranch. However, I am not a fan of their other pizza, the cheese was only so-so in my book
