Top 5 Best restaurants in Rhode Island, Not fancy

For cheap good eats:
I agree Mike's kitchen in Cranston (cannelli bean/chix dish and hot calamari).... San Vivaldo in West Warwick, Broadway Bistro on Broadway in Providence, Angiamo's in Johnston (antipasto is delicious for an app) Apsara's in Providence on Elmwood Ave is also great...you can make your own nim chow (the one on hope street is also good) Wright's farm is def a different experience...I usu go with a very large group of co-workers (20 people)
I would not go to De wolf tavern, service is horrible, we waited two hours for our entree and when i complained to the manager she was not very sympathetic....i i will never go there again.....

BYOB Italian in RI: Cranston-Providence-Warwick?

i agree...cafe andiamo is great for BYOB....Only takes reservations with large groups though, so you could be waiting for a table depending how busy they are.

Best brunch in Providence?

Nick's by far is the best brunch in Providence......Unfortunately there are only a handful of tables so you could be waiting for a table. if there is a long wait Julians is always good and it's right down the street.

Rhode Island - San Vivaldo or AlForno

P.S. For a pizza, caesar salad, and wine (all to split)....it will cost you $60-80 at Al forno.
For two appetizers, two entrees, a bottle of wine, and dessert to share....it will cost you maybe $60.00. Alfie also makes his own house port which is absolutely fabulous......

Rhode Island - San Vivaldo or AlForno

San Vivaldo is by far the BEST italian food in RI. The owner is from italy, and you can tell by the authentic italian dishes he serves. It is one of the best kept secrets......Alfie (the owner) makes every dish from fresh herbs/veggies/meats. My husband and I have been a regular for over a year now and we have never been disappointed. There is no menu....We usually go with whatever special alfie recommends from appetizer to dessert. his prices are very reasonable and affordable (including wine). Every single dish is exceptional.
My husband and I used to live in front of al forno.......we love their pizza and caesar salad....The italian food is good, but it does not compare to the authentic food of san vivaldo.........
