While at michael's, I stumbbled upon this bag of Wilton's candy melts. i bought it out of curiosity but im not sure what to do with it, how to treat them... can i use them as if they were couverture chocolate? melt it for covered chocolate strawberries.... use it for chocolate making:http://www.flickr.com/photos/twirlability/2461064354/in/pool-the_candy_shop/ like these? i'm guessin these cant be as tasty as couverture but it is a lot more accessible to me, that and they carry SOOO many colors with its respective flavor: http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=3E310A5F-475A-BAC0-513EBB4AAC195A7E i used to make these: http://images03.olx.com.ec/ui/4/43/04... while i was in peru visitin my mom, she got me into it, theyre filled with dulce de leche and pecans[the most common filling ]finally, my question is: would the candy melts work out for this kind of thing? |

molten chocolate cakes/souffles i think ive only had one once in my life and had no idea how they were made. i've been readin up on them and as i read each and every recipe, it says that they are dont when the outside it done. this to me completely go agaisnt everythin i've ever believed in hahaha. may sound stupid but true to me, as most cake recipes say to stick a toothpick in it and when it comes out clean, its done. now my question is, are molten cakes one of those, "eat at your own risk" kind of foods? like eggs over-easy? are the eggs in this batter cooked through and safe to eat when you break the surface of the cake and out comes oozing out the deliciousness that is dessert? i've always wondered, thought this would be a good place to ask =] |

i was actually asking because i wanted to make them into cookies, cause of the convenience and the extra "crustiness". i guess mini muffins would work well too. thanks=] |

what gives brownies that crust top layer that cakes dont get? is it an specific ingredient or more of an ingredient? would it be possible to double that top layer? |

you can easily make apple pie or if you want a little less work, Apple Crisp! Ingredients For the Filling: Bake crisps for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before serving. you dont need any kind of mixer and its delicious. |
