visiting dublin this month...need restaurant recs
We were just over there (from NYC) and had a marvelous meal at Rasam, above The Eagle House in Glasthule. Also, the pub itself has a very interesting carvery menu.

Guinness in NYC: Is it all the same, or are there places that serve up better pints than others?
Puck Fair on Lafayette. And a lovely Irish breakfast too.

Okonomiyaki in NYC?
There is restaurant on Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope Brooklyn called Geido... they have a a delicious okinomiyaki. I remember the first time seeing it ordered by an older Japanese couple and and now have it almost every time I dine here. The sushi and other dishes are lovely as well. A good little find. Easily accessible by subway from Manhattan.
