Tukey Day tips?
Anyone have any good ones??
In my search for good thanksgiving tips and recipes I found this.. http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/holidays/videos/index.php They have some really interesting recipes and videos on there. I'm really psyched to try the cranberry sauce recipe on there and I just learned that I actually never new how to carve the turkey properly.. No wonder why I always have so much trouble with it. Anyone have any other great turkey day tips??
One city in the US for food, and one city in the entire world for food
definitely new york city, just because it is so big and had so many different options. as for international, I would have to go with florence, italy. There are so many little restaurants all over and in the 5 months that I was there I never had a bad meal
favorite potato chips
I love the sea salt and cracked pepper kettle cooked chips. I forget the brand but they are awesome
BEST Prepackaged dry chili mix?
I really like the little package of McCormick chili seasoning. I actually use it to cook chicken in also even when im not making chili and it tastes delicious- just add a little sour cream
Your dream bun
I actually like a really good whole wheat bun. The flavor of the bun mixed with the burger is just awesomeeee
Dirty Little Secret
any kinda of cheese is my weakness. I know too much of it is just going to pack on the pounds but I just cant resist!
A brilliant idea for always getting restaurants to cook steaks and burgers perfectly
haha it sounds funny but it is actually a pretty good idea. Every restaurant cooks things differently so it is really helpful to show them what you mean
Large vs. small lobsters (split from Outer Boroughs board)
I agree, you can never tell how fresh a lobster will be based on its size... but that is a great idea to use to leftovers in something else. I usually dont want the fish smell to take over the ouse so i throw away anything left after dinner..thanks for the suggestion!
Is this cheese still good?
smell it and taste a tiny piece..you should be able to tell right away if it has gone bad
does anyone still buy instant coffee?? canned vegetables?? condensed soup??
I am forced to buy instant coffee at work since we dont have a coffee maker...I am learning to like it though

Great, SAVORY Pumpkin Ravioli!

Lunch in Florence
I would say you pretty much can't go wrong with lunch in Florence. I lived there for 5 months and I dont think I ever had a bad meal! haha
Restaurants to host wedding reception near northern end of Central Park?
I have actually heard good things about Kefi..never been there myself my heard it is a nice place with availability for private functions
Help - My office moved to 35th and 8th!
I don't know if there is one right by your office but I know there are a ton of them all over the city-MetroCafe...its just a quick take out place to grab a good sandwich or salad. I used to eat there every day when I worked in the city
Hope this helps :)
Top 5 Most Overrated in Manhattan
I have to disagree with the Dirty Water dogs being overrated. I can't tell you how many times I have eaten them and they never get old to me...gross-maybe, but delicious nontheless :)
Dream breakfast
The two best breakfasts in NYC:
1. Brunch @ Essex Restaurant (only on sat & Sun)
it's amazing. I strongly reccommend the lobseter benedict. STRONGLY.
2. Clinton street baking company- Ya can't get more American than their Blueberry pancakes. they are sooooo good. But def. go on a weekday and you will still probably wait a good 30-45 min. It is worth it though.
Enjoy
Greek Gods yogurt: they ought to be ashamed!
Why is Fage so expensive? I love it but can't understand why its at such a premium to other brands. I've learned to like chobani, but I have to give it up for the Trader Joes brand too- it's good, and cheap.
