Need a suggestion for a formal business dinner. Hopefully with an interesting menu.
Slim's suggestion of Davio's is a good one and would fit your needs.
Where to go for a business dinner downtown?

classy restaurant for lunch near Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
The closest quality places are those in Kenmore Square. Eastern Standard and Petit Robert Bistro would fit. Both are a modest cab ride from the MFA.
Nice beer list and good food near Back bay/Copley
Coda on Columbus Ave. near Dartmouth St. fits just fine.
Monday lunch near Eliot Hotel?
Petit Robert Bistro would be great.

Seafood Restaurant And Good Bar Around Westin Copley Place?
Second C. Hamster on seafood places near your hotel. Atlantic Fish is the best choice in the immediate area.
A good bar choice is Coda in the South End. It's about a block from your hotel.

We were there on Jan.14 and second lescaret's comments. They had a special menu due to the street festival up the block but it was consistent with the comments above. Ceviche was excellent and they had a very inventive soup of wild mushroom and brie. There was a line of people outside waiting for a table.
Anything open in Back Bay for family-friendly New Years lunch or early dinner?
According to Open Table, Towne is open. It appears most other larger restaurants that are normally open on a Saturday are also open.

Help needed for out of town foodies- Back Bay area restaurants.
Back Bay restaurants tend to be high-proiced and not very interesting. L'Espalier appears to have slipped somewhat since its move to the Madarin Oriental Hotel but it still is the best of the bunch. Mistral is also quite good.
For more interesting options, look to the South End a short distance asway. Hamersley's Bistro is reliably good. I also like Aquitauine and Union. Try doing a search for South End.

Coming to Boston from Austin and need HELP!! Please!! :)
In that case, what you probably need is someplace close to a stop on the Red Line (www.mbta.com) There are interesting places at several stops such as Central, Charles and even downtown (transit time from downtown to Harvard is about 10 minutes). Try board searches on those areas.

Where in Cambruidge are your tickets? Helmand is at the eastern end of the city and not near public transit.
Looking for group cocktails and apps downtown/Fanueil
The State Room, a function space atop 60 State St, does that sort of thing well.
Brunch in Cambridge/Somerville area with good coffee?

Thanksgiving Day Dinner...buffet?
Interesting that all of the places you've iddentified are in hotels.
I would pick either Asana or the Oak Room. My experience with Miel is that it is not in the same class as the other two. Turner is OK for sea food but I'm not sure about a buffet of Thanksgiving specialities.

I did a search and found very little about the food here. Anyone have any experience with this place? Since the Ritz sold it, it seems to have dropped off the map. Thanks.

Newton is next to Waltham where there are many good restaurants. Il Capricio is probably the best in Waltham. Try a search for Waltham entries.
Where to eat during the American Dietetic Association while staying at the Colonnade and attending conference at Boston Convention Center?
The area near your hotel has lots of restaurants but not many that will let you stay under $30. If you like Asian food, there are good Thai places nearby that will do it; Chilli Duck on Boylston is a good choice. In the South End, Anchovies on Columbus has reasonably priced Italian. Coda on Columbus has reasonably priced new American. Some South End places offer discounts on early dining (order by 6:30); Aquitaine, Union and Gaslight (common ownership) do this and others probaby do as well.

Best Burger and Fries combination in the Back Bay
Have you had similar experiences at Charley's or Joe's?
Best Burger and Fries combination in the Back Bay
I've never had an overcooked burger at A&L either. And they have some addictive sweet potato fries.
Charley's is actually the least expensive of those BBRG places. It's burgercomes in at just under $10.
Looking for bistro-ish dinner Friday-- Back Bay/Kenmore area
Second Petit Robert Bistro.
I have been to City Table and it was good but not fabulous. It's really more of a bar than a bistro.
