Paula Deen's restaurant

It was sad to read all the reports about the demise of The Lady & Sons Restaurant. I lived in Savannah for five years and the last time I ate there was in 2001 at the original location. That restaurant was small but comfortable and the lines were only 15-25 deep and Paula had just had her first book published. The food was simple, fresh homemade southern cooking with a fair amount of fat (butter & pork), seasoning fat is what gave the food that great southern taste and hoe cakes to die for. I am visiting Savannah next month, but I will not be eating at Lady & Sons, sad.

Savannah with a baby

I used to live in Savannah and enjoyed The Lady & Sons restaurant. Simple, fresh and good home made food. They have moved to a bigger location since I have lived there, but it is still downtown Savannah. This restaurant is owned by Paula Dean.

Hope you try it,
Bob
