Looking for PINK Velvet Cake!

No- it's definitely pink velvet. I didn't know about pink champagne cake and that might be a great alternative - just as pink and easier to find :) Thank you!

Looking for PINK Velvet Cake!

I know a few bakeries around the country make delicious PINK velvet cake and I'm searching for one in the L.A. area. It probably tastes just like red velvet, but I need it for a pink party I'm throwing. Any ideas?

Looking for a fun theme/children's restaurant for a 2 year old

you're right! too bad they're closed saturdays! i should've mentioned that i'm looking for something for tonight!

Looking for a fun theme/children's restaurant for a 2 year old

Are there any restaurants that are specifically for children that maybe have a fun gimmick or theme? It's for a 2 year old, so nothing too involved (like Medieval Times for example). Thanks!

Dinner with Future In-Laws in Pasadena

I would consider Gyu Kaku and The Melting Pot because they're also good for conversation. If you have the kind of in-laws where you worry about awkward pauses, etc., these are great places :)

Sunday Birthday/Fathers Day Lunch

McCormick & Shmick's in Pasadena does a brunch special for about $20 a person. I don't think it's on their website, but you can call for details. I went to the same thing for Easter and it was good!

Bulk Mexican Food on the Eastside

I'm throwing a fiesta birthday party and want to pick up bulk food. I'm thinking along the lines of beans, rice, maybe a make-your-own taco bar, etc.

I'm in Eagle Rock, and I prefer something fairly close.

Any ideas for restaurants that have delicious food available in bulk?

Cupcake bakery trend being replaced by french cookie bakeries?

Yep, that rings a bell (especially Macaron Paulette)!

Thanks for the help - it was driving me crazy!

Cupcake bakery trend being replaced by french cookie bakeries?

Within the last 6 months I heard a story on either PRI or NPR about how in Los Angeles the cupcake bakery trend is on its way out and is (in their opinion) being replaced by french bakeries specializing in a specific cookie. From what I remember, the reporter said a few such bakeries have already popped up in L.A.

I can't for the life of me remember what kind of cookie it is... any ideas?

Healthy Restaurants in Pasadena or Glendale?

Fatty's in Eagle Rock is great - I love that place. There's also The Coffee Table, which is more casual. If you want to go really casual (and really cheap!) there's also Orean's (offically called Orean Health Express) in Pasadena. It's basically vegan fast food.

Toddler friendly Easter brunch? (anywhere in L.A.)

I'm looking for a place for my husband and I to take our 1 1/2 year old and my mother-in-law out for brunch on Easter. "Toddler friendly" just means someplace not too swanky where other people will look at us like we're ruining their meal by simply bringing a little one into the place.

I'm in Eagle Rock, so something around me would be ideal, but I'll pretty much travel anywhere. It would also be great to find something under $60/person, but, again, I'll work with whatever I can find.

Vegan-friendly in pasadena?

Father Nature's in Old Pasadena. I don't think they have a website, but here's a link to some more info + reviews....

Prices at Lawry's?

A friend has offered to take me to dinner and I'm thinking I'd like to try Lawry's. But, I want to make sure it's not going to cost an arm and a leg since it's her treat. My second choice is Houston's, where I know the prices aren't outrageous.
