Five Guys Burgers - Coming to Montreal !
The Dix30 location is finally open. I dropped by for lunch on Saturday.
The place was packed, both behind the counter and in front of it. The menu is simple but generally pricey. There are no trios. Albeit placing the order was a bit awkward, service was pretty fast.
On to the food itself. I got a cheeseburger "all dressed". The sandwich was huge and very "heavy" by Montreal standards. Its two patties were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Unfortunately, the sandwich as a whole disappointed for two reasons. 1. It was too sweet - I hd a hard time deciding whether the sweetness came from one of the sauces or one of the toppings (onions or mushrooms maybe) 2. The sheer size and blob-biness of the thing
The fries were good, albeit a bit underseasoned.
Id definitely eat there again, though I'd opt for what they call the "small" burger which seems to be more reasonably sized, and away from "all dressed" to try to get the overall taste away from sweet towards slightly salty.

The Dix30 location appears to be opening soon. Their store sign is up and the interior looks like it's just short tables etc.
Drinkabe coffee on the Montreal South Shore ?
I'm not going to be picky and compare to Myriade downtown or anything like that.
Simply looking for a palatable cappuccino on the south shore (brossard, st. hubert, st lambert etc..).
Does such a thing exist ?
