Williams Farm Corn Deerfield MA

You're right; it's fantastic corn. I buy it every summer. I live in Greenfield and they sell it at Foster's Supermarket and it's delivered fresh every day. Anyone traveling through this area should definitely buy some.

Best Dishes in NE List

I second those onion rings at Captain Frosty's in Dennis on the Cape but I also add their whole belly clams to the list.

Want a Restraurant that Serves a Fabulous French Onion Soup Gratinee in Western MA/Southern Vt area

I live in Greenfield, MA and I can't find a restaurant around here that serves even what I would consider a good bowl of french onion soup gratinee in this area. Does anyone know where I can go to get a great bowl of soup. It's been soooo long. I miss Boston when it comes to eating out. The choices in that area were excellent.

Searching for a great Thanksgiving Dinner in Western Mass or Southern Vermont

The Putney Inn in Putney, Vt has excellent food. Their turkey is excellent. It is all natural and locally raised and all their vegetables are locally grown as well. I think you'll love their environment too. I took my mother their for mother's day this year and I had the turkey dinner so I know it's good. I'll give you the link so that you can check it out for yourself. It's about 20 miles from the MA/VT border.

Help me plan my New England trip. Yeah, I know you hate these sort of vague posts but.........

While you have them in Western Massachusetts as far as Northampton, why not have them continue up interstate 91 to Old Deerfied and see this historic area. You can dine at the Deerfield Inn. If you are going to get to this area, I would definitely add this to your visit. They also have a craft fair which is widely attended that happens to occur during Sept. 19 & 20 this year. You would be able to see a wide variety of hand crafted New England products during that period of time. You can stay at the Old Deerfield Inn or there is another place on the Whately/South Deerfield line between Northampton and Old Deerfield called the Red Roof Inn that might be less expensive if you needed to stay over someplace. The food at the Old Deerfield Inn is pricey but excellent.
