Zion National Park - any suggestions?

Went to Lupitas in Hurricane on recommendation of this thread. We did go to Thai sipa and decided to pass. A little pricey we thought. We ate really well at Lupitas. Fresh food! Large portions after a hike at the Narrows and reasonably priced. Oh and the fried icecream. YES!!

I-5 stops worth making?

I like Antojito's Mexicano's. Mexican Restaurant. Its in Santa Nella. Easy to miss. If you go beyond the Star Bucks, its to your right. Little hole in the wall restaurant. Ive been doing this drive for years. I just discovered this place. Its my new favorite. Best meal Ive had on the 5 ever and I don't have time for a detour so this is very convenient.

Bishop-- where to eat?

Just ate at a great little Thai reastaurant in Bishop. Apparently it is known and frequented by the locals. The menu is simple but the food is fresh and delicious and cooked to order. It is in an unexpected location, the local airpot. Off the beaten patth from Main St. The view to the outside is magestic mountains and i am sure you will get to see the odd small taking off and landing. A little gem of a place called Thai Thai.

organic cottage cheese

Have you ever looked at the ingredients in other cottage cheese besides Nancy's. Guar gum, soy lecithin, xantham gum, carrageenan, locust bean gum. They may say they're organic but there are all those other additives. Organic doesn't necessarily mean its a health product.

Raw Milk direct from the farmer?

Theres a place called Rawsome in Venice. All they sell is everthing raw including all kinds of raw dairy, cows milk, goats milk, goats yougart, cottage cheese, keifer. Its quite extensive and they do deal directly with farmers and its not orgainic pastures. Its actually a bit sort of underground and you have to join. The membership is $25 a year. But well worth it. They sell the cleanest food you can buy. The quality is exceptional. The address is 665 Rose Ave in Venice just west of Lincoln. Oh yes and only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Blackberry picking in Southern Cal?

I was wondering if any one knew if there are any places in So. Cal to pick wild blackberries. Now is the time and I'd love to get some wild organic blackberries before the season is over.
If not locally in So Cal, does any one know the nearest location? Many thanks.
