Minetta, WD-50, Corton, or Aldea

Based on the menu for each, and some descriptions on other sites including opentable, I would think Corton and WD-50 have comparable styles of food, although I may be wrong. Still trying to decide, although Corton did just get two stars to WD-50's one

Minetta, WD-50, Corton, or Aldea

I am going out for a joint-birthday dinner with my girlfriend and am wondering if people could, which of these three would they pick for a nice dinner. Our last big night out was at Ko which we loved, but could also do something a little different (hence the Minetta pick). Thanks for the help

Help Me Find the Best Mexican Restaurant in NYC!

Clinton Restaurant on Clinton and Houston for burritos, or Taco Santana in Williamsburg for the pastor are my two favorites. Clinton reminds me of neighborhood family places in LA, while Taco Santana is more of a traditional taco cart style place. The al pastor torta ranks among the best sandwiches in new york

NYC Wine and Food Festival 2009

Does anyone have any info about this beyond what little description there is on the website. Have people been in the past, and are the tastings generally worth the price? I have tickets to the oyster bash, and want to know what I should expect in terms of crowds and number of different offerings. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks

Minetta Tavern - Anyone been lately

I have been reading about some new reservation policy where only friends of restaurant during "prime time"

1. Is this true, or have people dined recently and gotten a good table?
2. When would I need to book to get Friday night reservation in October for my birthday? or is walk-in the best choice?

On a side note, It's between Minetta, Aldea, and Corton for dinner, and I figure I'd like to try Minetta given all of the buzz around it lately. Do you think that's the best choice?

Late night spots in NoLita/Little Italy

Thanks for the tip. I've been to Peasant a fare bit, but I wouldn't call it a late-night spot. I'm looking for more of a friday night, 3ish place. NY Noodletown is a favorite, but was hoping for something more local. Thanks

Late night spots in NoLita/Little Italy

With the new Indian place going in on Broome and Mott (open till 11pm) it got me hoping that maybe I was missing another late-night eating spot in the area. Mott Corner and La Esquina are the only ones I have been too, and Mott Corner basically serves microwaved ramen, so that is out. Live in the area so any help (especially late night Chinese) would be very helpful. Thanks

Corton vs. Ko

Thanks for all of your help! Based on these posts I believe I am in for a treat either way.

Corton vs. Ko

I have reservations next week at both places for my girlfriends b-day and am trying to decide between the two. Which would you recommend?
