Suckling Pig @ New Fortune Cookie, London

Seriously, thanks for this recommendation.
I've been in London for 5 years now and have never found good Chinese food.
I'll give this a try asap!

[LON] Cafe Rouge, Prezzo, Spaghetti House, Strada or Pescatori ?

I actually really like Prezzo. The meals, though not especially inspiring, are always hot, decent sized and prompt. Oh, and tasty of course! They got voted best chain pizza restaurant by one of the food mags. (Don't recall which one)
I recommend getting on their mailing list too as they seem to email a special offer about once a week. Last time, my hubby and I had 2 main courses for £10.

inside [Greenwich, London]

I live just down the road from this restaurant but have only been to Inside once. Me and my husband found the food to be OK but definitely over priced. I found myself thinking 'this is OK but I think I could cook better at home'. The service was a little slow eg. we weren't ready to order when the waitress came around the first time and it took at least another 15 minutes for her to come to us again. We ended up being in there for about 2 hours for a 2 course meal, meals were slow but drinks came thick and fast!
I couldn't comment in individual meals as the menu changes regularly.

Will Jamie's America air in the U.S.?

That's a real shame :(
Maybe they'll sell it to the US Food Channels?
I didn't even know people knew who Jamie Oliver was in the US! Is he really famous?

Your Favorite Fresh Tomato Recipes

Sounds pretty similar to what I was going to say.
My fave thing is tomato sliced up, with chopped basil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. That's it! It's so good as a side dish but when no-one's looking I just eat it with a spoon :)

Chicken and Andouille Gumbo

Question - I can't eat wheat flour. Does anyone know if this works with other types of flour? I can get hold of an all purpose wheat free flour but I tried it once before and it didn't brown at all!

It's probably too late for this reply now but have you thought about the Daffodil?

gluten free Thai, etc. ???

I normally go for Vietnamese food. Always get rice noodles with something or a phad thai dish which contains rice noodles. I've never seen soy sauce in Vietnamese cooking.
In the UK a lot of Chinese restaurants or takeaways have a few Vietnamese dishes so it's always worth going through the menus to check.

You might find my blog useful, it's ideas, tips, recipes etc for a wheat free diet -
