Mid-Party Presentation
Last night in the middle of a party someone gave a presentation on Cutco Cutlery. Although I was a little offended that someone would try to make a sale at a friendly get together, I was interested if these knives were actually worth it. I obviously do not need the 64 piece set, but would anyone buy these knives? What do people think about them especially when it comes to the chef knives?
Please help me improve my pizza further
OH MY GOD! Combining my two favorite things (cast iron and pizza). I am gonna have to check this out for sure!

I agree with this. Go to your local tile shop and get an unglazed query tile.
I have one big enough to barely fit in my oven which allows me to cook larger pizzas. Granted this may be overkill, it allows me to vary my pizza sizes whenever I want not worry about it sliding off the edge.

If you have the time, I would let you dough sit in the fridge for three days. Doing this you will notice a huge difference in taste. Also, I would recommend using bread flour, if you aren't doing it already. I noticed the bread flour gives the dough a much chewier texture.
I never thought about putting a steam pan in the oven while I cook pizza. I use that method to bake some of my breads, but I am going to have to try that out. Does anyone else use a steam pan for their pizzas?
Absinthe In Omaha
So I just went to spirit world and thanks for the recomendation! WoW! I was getting worried I was going to have to start liking bud light. I am going to check out costco this weekend. That would be awesome if keirkland made an absinthe. Their vodka was pretty good.
Absinthe In Omaha
Hey guys I just moved to Omaha and am looking to get my hands on some Absinthe. I was wondering where I could find some other than the Lucid brand?
Shipping Nightmare!
Hey Everyone!
I was hoping to send some homemade cinnamon-raison bagels in the mail. I am currently in Omaha Nebraska and would be sending it to Minneapolis Minnesota. What is the best way to keep the bagels as fresh as possible?
What would happen if I boiled the bagels and instead of putting them in the oven to finish them off, I would just send them like that. Would that work? That way they could put it in the oven once they recieved it.
how to identify what material my new wok is made of.
Hey thanks everyone! This really helps alot:)
how to identify what material my new wok is made of.
Well the color of it is black and the handles are attached to it. When I spoke to someone who was working at the store he said once the protective coating came off then it would not rust. so im thinkin its not carbon steel anymore. Im not sure how a cast iron wok looks like , but my wok doest look like my cast iron skillets. it seems smooth and nowhere near as pouress as my skillets. it is heavier than the mid grey ones that i saw over at the store (which i think were the carbon steal ones) but not by much.

So I just purchased a new wok, which I thought was carbon steel. Now that I have done more research I am beginning to doubt if it is. How can I figure out what it is made of?
