Anyone try Ristorante Oggi in Dollard des Ormeaux? It's currently on TeamBuy's daily deals.

Like I said in the first post, the coupons are obviously hit and miss. But boy, was I happy with Crescendo Restaurant, on the water in Verdun. Such a nice place, and their Table d'Hote, with soup/ salad/ pasta/ dessert was, like, 21 dollars. I would definitely go back, without the coupon. I used to like the chinese restaurant on Decarie near Queen Mary, Schezuan Village, but they have a new owner, and it's not the same.

Thanks. That's too bad. That coupon is a great deal. $25 for $60 - and BYOB! I did not see good reviews, but was hoping maybe it was better than the few reviews!

It's currently on TeamBuy's daily deals. I live in LA, but visit my mother in Montreal regularly, and look for "deals" that are interesting. (My favorite so far is Crescendo Restaurant in Verdun). It's harder to find reviews for restaurants than in the U.S., where Yelp is so entrenched that most restaurants have dozens, if not hundreds, of customer reviews.

Cheap but tasty vegetarian? Doc maker cousin visiting NY this weekend, looking for low-cost options

The only veg restaurant I know is Zen Palate. I live in LA, which is overflowing with veg restaurants. I remember Zen had a few good things, but was pretty pricey. I remember going to a restaurant somewhere in Chinatown that was good, but have no idea the name.

Any suggestions for cheap but tasty veg food in NY?

My cousin, a documentary filmmaker, is going to NYC this coming weekend, and asked me for suggestions, for good veg food that was reasonably priced.

Delivering our daughter to McGill

It's funny that nobody mentioned Yuan Vegetarian Restaurant, on Sherbrooke and St. Denis, which has an all you can eat lunch buffet for $7.99 ($10.99 weekends). It's vegan, I think, really good Asian food, and I go there every time I'm in Montreal. The link is www.yuanvegetarian.com

Looking for Vegetarian Restaurants - or Vegetarian Friendly

I'm from Los Angeles, but visit my mother in Cote St. Luc. I find it challenging finding vegetarian and vegetarian friendly (eg tofu) restaurants. Firstly Cote St. Luc itself has limited selections. We go to Monkland, St. Denis, all over.

I've been to Yuan a bunch of times. Been to Chucha (?) on St. Denis.

Been to the chinese restaurant on Decarie near Cote St. Road.

Looking for new places - also, coming from LA, I find restaurant prices high in Montreal, and with the current recession in the US, there are deals/ coupons/ promos galore.

Will be in Montreal next week and looking for good/ value-priced vegetarian and vegetarian-friendly restaurants.
