Fresh Chickens in UES?

I'm looking for a place to buy decent fresh chickens for less than $5/lb in the Upper East/West or Harlem area. Any thoughts? I've tried Fairway and Costco, but haven't been overly impressed...Many thanks!

CALPHALON Commercial Hard-Anodized 16 Quart Stock Pot

But where? I'm looking for the very same thing and, like you, having trouble finding it. Also, are you happy with the pot?

Well I can't lie... I certainly don't have the dining budget I'd like to for this trip! I think for the romantic evening, I'd like to stay under/aroundish $200.

Westside Bakery for Bread? (Vancouver)

My beloved Dollenkamp's (Broadway + Macdonald) has closed. Grieving aside, what's the best place for a good loaf of reasonably priced bread on the west side? Cobbs and Terra are a little pricy for my UBC budget, but is there anywhere else?

Banff recommendations?

Not a dinner option, but my personal fav for Banff is the lounge in the Banff Springs. Go in the afternoon, and have a light lunch and coffee/cocktail overlooking the Golf Course. It's beautiful, and way less expensive than having a full meal in the dining room. The smoked salmon flat bread is fantastic, and a great deal.

Where in San Fran for a Foodie Couple with College Student Budgets...

My boyfriend and I are driving from Vancouver to San Fran for a 5 day visit, and need come advice on where to eat. We both love to cook/eat and are excited for the restaurants, but are only armed with college student budgets. We'd love to have a romantic dinner one night, and more casual the others. We're staying at the Westin Market Street, but are happy to travel within bicycling distance. So far, we're thinking maybe Foreign Cinema and drinks at the Bourbon and Branch? Thoughts?

Many thanks!
