3 days in chicago (river north)

Great thread to all who contributed. I am staying at the westin north river and this was helpful. I hoped to go to frontera or topolobampo, but unfortunately they are closed Sun-Mon. But I had a great dinner at Quartino (dining alone in the bar area). I always know I can rely on Chowhounds!

Baltimore: need recommendation for two nights near the Harbor

I'm coming to a conference at the Intercontinental and am looking for some two good dinner stops for Sunday and Monday night. I'm thinking Italian and seafood? but am open to suggestions. Thanks for any suggestions, most of my Baltimore experience has been drinking in Fells Point 15 years ago, so I need a bit of an update!

Virginia Crab Shack?

I saw that as well - we'll look at that one as well.

Virginia Crab Shack?

Thanks - Capt Billy's sounds like what we are looking for - a little further than we'd like, but maybe we'll make it more than a day trip. Thanks for the research!

Virginia Crab Shack?

My husband and I have an unexpected weekend without kids and want to re-live our youth by going to a brown paper crab shack, preferably with a view of some kind of water, within 1-2 hrs of Charlottesville. Is there any place out there? Maybe in the northern neck?

If we bump the travel range up to 3 hrs, where should we go in Va Beach or on the way to Annapolis?

Moving to Charlottesville...Cheap Eats

Lunch at Aroma's Cafe in Barracks Rd.

The Carving Board - lunch only sandwich spot just a few doors down from Taste of China.

Lime Leaf - Thai in Rio Hill

Tacos from the City Market on Saturday mornings (or Pen Park on Tuesday afternoons or Meade Park on Wednesday afternoons). Then have a Pantheon Popsicle (though at $3/shot, doesn't really qualify as cheap...)

Tip Top on Pantops classic diner. A favorite for breakfast

Continental Divide - best value in C'ville in my opinion

Bodo's - chicken salad on an everything bagel

Where to get casual Southern food in Richmond, VA? (or better yet, towards Charlottesville)

Have you tried Mel's Cafe on West Main? I haven't, but understand it to have home-cooked, soul food. Eppie's on the Mall has collards...
