One more thing...when my team from Shanghai came into town I took them to Pappas. Great meal But when my friends from out of town visit, it's always Nick and Sam's. The vibe and the scenery is better.

Of the ones you mentioned, Pappas wins on quality of food, service, wine list...but that location has terrible drive-up appeal.

Love the ideas, everyone...the picnic idea in Victoria is super and leaning toward that although The Pointe or a nice beach in Tofino (with picnic) are also great.

Hi. I will be traveling to Victoria (then on to Ucluelet and Tofino) in a couple of weeks and was hoping for recommendations on where to pop the question. My first inclination is to ask for an excellent restaurant near or in Victoria since that's the first stop on the itinerary. But hey, I am open to ideas (whether in a romantic restaurant or in a different memorable location) and this is a creative group of people. Thanks for your input.
