headed to kerrville from dallas (getting off I35 in waco) and looking for the best eats... life is too short to eat chain restaurant food!

Mexican restaurants open for dinner tonight in Dallas??
we need some suggestions - we will be near LBJ/Central and want to carry on the tradition of tamales on Christmas Eve but need some help... any ideas? specifically looking for non-gringo run places (ie. no Cantina Laredo)

Family/Music/Good Food Saturday night - possible
we are trying to surprise m husband with some live music and good food - me and my 11 and 9 year old - so can you suggest a venue? there is a place in arizona - outdoors, live music, great burgers - dancing - awesome!
