Jerk Chicken

This is an old string, but in case anyone is still looking for Pimento woodchips, there is one place in the US where you can order: http://pimentowood.com/

Din Tai Fung: Opening date?

Confirmed with some guy directing people outside the restaurant itself yesterday that they should open on or about November 15. Restaurant still looked unfinished...

Din Tai Fung: Opening date?

Anyone know when Din Tai Fung is opening in Bellevue's Lincoln Center. All my sources only say "Fall, 2010".

Relatively surprised that a search didn't already pick up this question given the number of xaio long bao fanatics out there...

Chinese Chicken Salad

I used to eat a dish that my Chinese friend would order called "Bong Bong Gee" (forgive the Americanized spelling), that was a Chinese chicken salad style dish. The place I got it from closed, but I have seen it around at other restaurants. And this was way before Wolfgang Puck could have got around to "inventing" it.

Pizza w/ an egg

Though I love Tutta Bella, I have been told several times that they won't crack an egg on my pizza, so you must way out-charm me. They also don't have olio picante, which every single pizzaria in Italy has, but that is another discussion board topic.

Seattle Best Brunch?

It's Seattle, so brunch options wouldn't be complete without a dim sum suggestion: Jade Garden in the ID is my pick (just noticed someone else had the same idea). Kingfish and Cafe Flora are good suggestions. An alternative to St. Clouds in Madrona (which is good) is the Hi-Spot, which has the advantage of having been around forever. I personally find Coastal Kitchen to be just about the most overrated place in Seattle.

Breakfast on the Drive from SEA to VAN

Good question. Until recently, I found the drive pretty barren. If your stomach can wait for Bellingham, try the Mt. Bakery in downtown B-ham (http://www.mountbakery.com/). They have an incredible Eggs Benedict that substitutes a waffle for the traditional muffin.
