Good job! I am sure that suggestion has raised more than the $200 ticket! |

Check out Jules Catering in Somerville. I know they would travel to Sherborn. |

How to find a great personal chef? [moved from Boston board] Why not use a caterer? |
|

Thanks. Sorry I missed that! |

Yes but I was wondering where the bad experience occurred. |

Which one? Watertown or Framingham? |

ISO Brach's Neapolitan Coconut Candies Did you contact Yummies in Maine? They have a huge selection. I don't know if they ship or if you wouldn't mind a trip to the outlets at Kittery. Good Luck! |

Tico - did tasting menu with friends last night I was there on Sunday night. I was cautious regarding the noise level as I had remembered the CH warning. I am happy to report that perhaps the comment was heeded as I was not at all offended by the music volume. I asked my dining companions, as well, and they felt the volume was fine. SInce I was able to ask them and hear their response, all must be fine! The food was great! I enjoyed everything. We had quite an array. Octopus, sweetbreads, fish tacos, tuna tartare, seared tuna, brussel sprouts...I think there were a few more dishes but I don't recall. I have high hopes! |

I would imagine that with the large Legal installation going in across the street, it may not be worth re-opening. I did always enjoy that spot. |
|

Unfortunately, that location is closed. I have heard rumors that it will not re-open. |

It's ticoboston.con but there is no real info....Just a phone number for reservations. |

Finally hit Island Creek Oyster Bar I agree!! I need to go back without him to enjoy the lobster pasta. BTW, the razor clams are on the menu now. |

Finally hit Island Creek Oyster Bar The pasta was certainly there. Unfortunately, I was dining with someone who is severely allergic to lobster, fumes included. I was looking forward to the tartare. I think I also remember reading about cod cheeks a while ago that I didn't see. Everything was great and I really enjoyed the space. There are certainly things on the current menu I wish to try. I just didn't want to get my heart set on something that will be switched out soon. I understand that the menu is based on availability. I was just wondering if anyone had a feel for the frequency. Has anyone ever contacted them to see if they would fax a current menu? |

Finally hit Island Creek Oyster Bar Does anyone know how often the non-oyster menu changes? I went last night and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I was anticipating some of the dishes mentioned in this thread which were not on the menu. |

February Openings and Closings I appreciate that response. It was given with great finesse. |

I wish you both the best. I have lived in Southie for 7 years but only started visiting your restaurant over the past 18 months. I can't believe I missed out on so many great meals. Besides the great food, your front-of-the-house presence added so much! Just after our first visit, you remembered what we liked to drink and eat. What a great environment! Keep us posted if you re-enter the restaurant world. There are a lot of people that will be clammering to come back! Best wishes! |

September Openings and Closings I wish they had mentioned it. I wasn't there but a few weeks ago. If anyone learns anything, I hope they post...I will. That may have been my favorite place for a good meal in Southie....the search goes on.... |

September Openings and Closings That's so sad. Any idea where they are headed? |
|

I was just there on Saturday and the Cuban was still on the menu. I believe there were two other sandwiches but I don't remember what they were. We had a fabulous meal consisting of the mussels, the caesar, the special short rib agnolotti and the spaghetti and meatballs. I haven't tried any of the sandwiches yet but the Cuban has also sounded good. |
