Where to eat before Canadians Game?

Sorry about the Canadian/Canadiens faux pas. My husband and son are really embarrassed. Thanks for the help. I think we'll stick with a more casual place like the pubs mentioned. Any other ideas are appreciated!

Go Habs!

Where to eat before Canadians Game?

We're heading to Montreal for the Canadians game on Sat 2/20. Is there a good place to eat nearby Bell Center?

Stuck with 3 Tubes of Grands Biscuit dough - what to do with them?

Flatten and fill with leftovers that make sense together (For thanksgiving, we filled with turkey and stuffing!) Close the little guys up and shape into something that resembles a small hockey puck. Bake little lower and slower than package says to allow insides to heat.

Looking for yummy, inexpensive, and delicious recipe for a one-pot meal with chicken

If you want to to cut up the chicken, make coq au vin, coq au riesling, chicken with vinegar, or, what I had for dinner last night with thighs and drumsticks only, Chicken with marsala.

Marcella Hazan has several chicken fricasse recipes in her book. If you have it, look. Her cacciatore is TOTALLY different than an american version. You'd probably love it. Its divine.

If you don't want to cut up the chicken, you can make a chicken soup. Seriously simple recipe at Martha Stewart's web site. I make it all the time and adjust with my own seasoning, vegs, etc.

Not to miss on Long Island, anything goes

*Razzano's in Glen cove for Italian foods/deli/bread/meats/pasta/pizza dough

*Uncle Giuseppe's in Port carries bread from Royal Crown Bakery in Brooklyn (great crusty bread) Have a great vinegar from Italy. Comes in a large bottle and its only 2.99!

*Chez Noelle in Port Washington- great french food.

*Hummus World in Roslyn-pitas come from Israel. Homemade Felafel and chicken gyro-like meat. Homemade salads and hot sauces to go on the sandwich. YUM. Interesting Chicken Soup- it has ginger in it.

Salads (pasta/cole slaw) in Nassau

Might be too late for you, but Manhasset Deli on Plandome Rd in Manhasset has the BEST German Potato salad. Not sure about the coleslaw...

Chez Noelle in Port Washington

My hubbie and I go out to eat rarely in Pt. Washington because we can cook so much better at home. The only place we ever go out to eat is Chez Noelle (and an occasional Pizza from Carlos or Salvatore's). The wine list is great and reasonable. The food changes seasonly and has rarely disappointed. We are usually the youngest in there. I feel as if I am dining alongside my parents which is amusing. Its quiet (not the usual North Shore Long Island loudfest.) They do have fixed price, but not on Saturdays, the big dining day on Long Island. I have tried every other french restaurant in Port and none compare to Chez Noelle. Don't be put off by the grungy location and 80's decor. Go and savor every bite. Say hi to Renee.
