Germany: Dessau and Leipzig; cheap, delicious, and good for vegetarians

I lived in Dessau for a little over a year. The best restaurants in town are the Greek restaurant on Kornhausstrasse, the restaurant in the Rathaus, and the Brauerei in the city center - sorry I don't recall any of the actual names! And as I recall, my vegetarian friends had a hard time finding much in Dessau, but i recall a few good fish dishes at the Rathaus place. The Kornhaus is famous-touristy but mostly for the building, which definitely outshines the food. You'll have much better luck in Leipzig, but I am not as familiar with specific places there. The city's website is pretty good (www.dessau.de) but not much info on restaurants, and you're lucky to have a german husband since the german version is better than the english. Almost forgot to mention - the cafe inside the Bauhaus (downstairs) is a nice place for a light lunch or afternoon coffee!
