Help picking a restaurant

I'm being treated to a dinner out tomorrow nite ~ my choice ~ and I need some help finding somewhere that will fit ALL of my criteria. I'm usually who my friends come to for recommendations and I've got myself stumped on this one! Any suggestions will be very much appreciated!

Easy part ~ Fantastic turtle soup, baked oysters, above average wine list. Bubbles by the glass would be wonderful, but not a deal breaker. We can have a couple glasses somewhere else beforehand.

What has me stumped ~ I'd really prefer somewhere fun, funky and interesting to the traditional special occasion spots. I've been in the biz forever and usually make a terrible dining companion if I'm in a high end restaurant b/c I'm watching everything that's going on. Horrible habit. I'm not totally opposed to fine dining, but I know we can do Gal's, CP or Arnaud's in a pinch and it'll be great ~ I'd just prefer something else.
