Polenta Pie Crust?

Does anyone have a recipe for a pie crust that somehow incorporates polenta? I am making a blueberry and corn pie and I wanted to make the crust out of a traditional pie crust mixed with some polenta and would like to know your thoughts. For the filling: I was planning on caramelizing the corn for 40 minutes over medium heat, sauteeing the blueberries for a quick time, and mixing in sugar, a bit of coconut milk, corn starch, milk, and salt. Any suggestions of pie crusts incorporating polenta?

Thanks,
Jeff

PHILLY suggestions good food AND good local beer

I'd recommend Eulogy Tavern on 136 Chestnut Street. It has very good mussels, fries, and burgers, and an awesome beer selection both draft and bottle. I just went there last night and definitely enjoyed myself.

Where can I find 13th Century Grut Bier in PA or on the internet?

Thanks, this website helped me track down a vendor who then happened to know that it's served at Eulogy Tavern in Philadelphia. I picked some up last night at a steep 7.49 a bottle, but it's worth it to me.

Where can I find 13th Century Grut Bier in PA or on the internet?

So I've been searching for a few weeks to try something I bought at a fancy wine store near Towson, MD. I can't remember the place, otherwise I'd brave the 2 hour drive for the stuff. I'm looking for 13th Century Grut Bier to give as a gift to a friend and fellow beer enthusiast. If anyone knows where to buy this in PA, DE, or MD, or can find a website that'll ship it, let me know.

Thanks!
Jeff

Taming Habaneros in Linguine fra Diavolo?

So I'm working on my own variety of a Linguine fra Diavolo which is linguine with a spicy tomato sauce. I use shrimp, bay scallops, and bits of diced italian sausage. I would love to get a bit of habanero flavor to go alongside my serrano and jalapeno pepper flavors but I don't want all of that heat for the sake of dinner guests. Is there a good way to get habanero flavor without too much habanero fire?

Variants on Osso Buco Gremolata?

If you're adding the anchovy fillets to the braising liquid, at what point do you add them in? I definitely tend to agree about them being incorporated in a dish like this, not central.

Variants on Osso Buco Gremolata?

Hey All,

So I'm new to the forums and I was wondering if you have any favorite variants on the gremolata (or raw relish) you use on your Osso Buco. So far I've run into the following combinations:
1. Lemon zest, parsley.
2. Lemon zest, parsley, garlic.
3. Lemon zest, parsley, toasted pine nuts.
4. Orange zest, lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley.
5. Lemon zest, parsley, garlic, anchovy filets.

Anything you particularly like?

Thanks,
Jeff
