Best farm to table in the Hudson Valley?

Cafe Mio in Gardiner is excellent for breakfast or lunch. My in-laws live in Gardiner and go there frequenty, and they take us there whenever we go visit them.
You can see the menu on their website (http://www.miogardiner.com/index.html), but they also have a ton of specials that change every week depending on what they get from the local farms. If you go on their facebook fan page, they list the weekly specials.
The owner/chef is a CIA graduate.

Inexpensive group friendly in Midtown or UES?

Thanks - these are great suggestions. I checked out the menus & I'm wondering which you like best from the following: Uva, Vespa, Cipolla Rosa, Caffe Buon Gusto?

Inexpensive group friendly in Midtown or UES?

I'm looking for the average dinner entrees to be under $20. Thanks!

Inexpensive group friendly in Midtown or UES?

I have a group of 10 people (ages 27-75) celebrating a birthday this Wednesday night.
2 guests are in Manhattan from out of the country, so I want to pick someplace that will impress them but won't break the bank since I am paying for everyone.

Someone had suggested either Carmine's or Tony DiNapoli since it's family style and inexpensive. I've never been to either, but from what I gather they're pretty touristy and the focus is on quantity rather than quality.

Do you have any other sugguestions? Any type of cuisine is okay as long as the food is good, decent atmosphere, and inexpensive.

Thanks!
