Best of Brookline - 2011 Edition
For pizza I like Pizzeria Dante.
Try Stoli in Brookline Village for tasty Russian food & house infused vodkas.
I second all the other suggestions too, esp Darbar, dok bua, Anna's Taqueria, super fusion, gari, zaftigs, Sichuan Garden, Bottegga.......whats Cambridge??? :P
Caviar
Try Baza in Newton behind Filenes Basement off Highland Ave. Its a Russian supermarket and they have a few types of caviar and lots of roe. Their smoked fish & pickles are excellent too btw!
Porter Cafe in West Rox?
I can't really imagine kids here on a weekend night, maybe for lunch or dinner on a weeknight. I would say this is a reasonably priced gastropub & pretty delicious too!
Porter Cafe in West Rox?
Went on Friday. I got the mussels, which were plump, sweet and perfectly cooked. Lots of beers to choose from the wall display on both sides of the bar ( both different) and a great tap selection from PBR to Chimay. They do not have a printed listed list of beers yet. When asked they hope to in the future. They do have to keep running downstairs to get some of the beers, and at one point the glass that had come fresh out of the dishwasher seemed to have strong chemical smell still even after the Whales Tail sat in it for a bit. So far only minor kinks to work out. Bartender and one of the owners took time to chat and do their connecting with the locals. A good fit for what West Roxbury was lacking, a small neighborhood "bistro style" bar, with cozy atmosphere and a much more interesting beer selection than other WR bars.
Outdoor food/drinks in Newton and environs?
Sol Azteca and Union Street both have patios. Both restaurants are in Newton Center.

Not served as sushi, but grilled or baked, anyone know of any places that serve this?
Legal Seafoods, Legacy Place - Dedham, Mixed Review, HIccups, and Pounding Music
Went a couple weeks ago.
CONS
-Sat @ "food bar", dirty dishes for 2 not cleared next to my elbow the entire meal.
-Appetizers forgotten.
-Abnormal amount of sediment at the bottom of my win.
- The panna cotta had the word "solo" visibly imprinted on top, never had a restaurant use Solo cups to make their panna cotta.
-Plastic netting in my mussels.
PROS
-Food was not bad, bread with hummus was so good.
-They gave me another half glass pour on the house to remedy the sludgy wine :)
-my mussels were delish.
*i totally understand that netting can get in when being cut with scissors and that red wine has sediment, I'm not that anal. I am glad that the food was pretty good and that my waitress remedied my wine.
Affordable fish in the Concord, MA area?
I second Atlantic Sea Grille!! Very fresh market and great prices, a couple minutes past the rotary down 2A.
Restaurant recommendations for inner harbor area
Open to ANY suggestions (local, ethnic, unique, greasy spoon, seafood etc.) just not a tourist trap :)
Eats around east baltimore & Park ave
Any good ( non touristy) seafood restaurants or inteesting local or ethnic spots in the area. Willing to go for a walk to get yummy eats.
Juice Bars in the Boston Area?
I would go to the Juice Bar in China town, the watermelon juice is really good. I usually go for the avocado shakes. As has been stated already, there aren't veg/juice blends. They have a large menu, of milkshakes, tea shakes, and juices.
Also, there is Lollicup on Comm ave in the Super 88 food court. They are yummy with a large menu as well.

I need powdered citric acid - any help out there?
Try Super 88 or the Hmart in Burlington.
30th anniversary. Within half hour of Acton.
Here are some choices: ( sorry not entirely sure about entertainment, but the food is good and they are all near by)
-Monument Grill in Leominster
-J's restaurant @ Nashoba Valley Winery
-Alcotts Restaurant & Tea Room in Harvard
-Cast Iron Kitchen in Maynard
-Chloe American Bistro in Hudson
-Walden Grill in Concord
-Allora Ristorante in Marlborough

Grilled Romaine Salad
Had the grilled Caesar salad @ Washington Square Tavern and LOVED it. The charred bits of the lettuce were delicious.
Does anyone know of other grilled romaine salads in boston and surrounding areas?

WHOLE PIG
I know of Blood Farm, but don't know if other people have had luck with other farms, butchers or wholesalers in the purchasing of a whole pig.
Good latin (super)market in greater Boston area?
Chelsea Market Basket has many Latin items, but it is not a latin market, and may not be the most convenient from Newton.
Americas Food Basket, HI lo in JP are entire Latin Super Markets, where every aisle contains Latin items.
I'm a fan of Market Basket but not if I am looking for the huge Latin market like PKirchoff is asking for.
porron -- where to buy around Boston
I have purchased a porron at DALI in Somerville. They sell them, just ask at the bar and they will go in back and box one up for you.
Good latin (super)market in greater Boston area?
Americas Food Basket -942 Hyde Park Avenue Hyde Park very large, clean, Latin/Caribbean supermarket.
Hi-Lo Foods- 450 Centre St Jamaica Plain Smaller than AFB still a large grocery store, but find the store a little less organized.
My preference is Americas Food Basket.
RICHMOND VA- ETHNIC EATERIES, MID PRICED RESTRAUNTS , BARS/LOUNGES
Coming from Boston and I am in Richmond for a wedding this weekend from Thurs-Mon.
Would love some great recommendations!
new in town needing north station area rec
I might try Nebo on North Washington St, or Flat Iron Tapas Bar on Merrimac St. Both are pretty close.
I am also a big fan of many restaurants in the North End. Try Salem St or Hanover St or Endicott St, you will find MANY yummy restaurants. Here are a handful, Panza, Neptune Oyster, Ernestos Pizzeria, Lucca, Artu, and Daily Catch.
North end is really close to Haymarket, which is on orange and green lines. I would park above the Haymarket T Stop at the Parcel 7 Garage. Parking in the North End is challenging if you are not patient, there is usually valet at many restaurants.
Visiting end of March ...need suggestions for dinner.
I second Craigie on Main, go for the bone marrow !
Sichuan Gourmet Framingham- Food recs?
Anyone tried the Hot & Sour Minced Sea Cucumber Soup (For 2) on the menu?
Sichuan Gourmet Framingham- Food recs?
I love Dan Dan noodles. Any other fish or tofu recommendations?
