SALAD A LA GO-GO!!!
No the one in avanti closed, the mimi and coco on sherb is between claremont and prince-albert
SALAD A LA GO-GO!!!
Im a HUGE big salad buff, to me nothing beats a big salad with grilled chicken, lots of yummy veggies and a delectable dressing to top it all off for lunch, and ive tried them all, i personally dont care much for chop crazy cause i dont find their dressings anything to write home about, Foumagerie has a great salad with great dressing but no variety to choose from, same dressing, same salad all the time, BORING!
All my other favorite salad places like Reubens, Baton Rouge and Mess Hall are all sit down places, and not very convenient for a quick salad on the go
Well today i discovered the best salad of all! Mandys express serves up a variety of different "gourmet" salad combinations and dressings to suit every palate and they are even delivering now! They delivered salads for everyone in our office today and they were just fantastic ,we had all kinds to choose from.
l had the westmount salad which comes with Romaine, Arugula, Shredded Carrots, Broccoli Florets, Corn, Avocado, Sunflower Seeds, Baked Pita Chips, Shaved Parmesan, Honey Mustard Vinaigrette and 2 of my coworkers had the asian, Organic Greens, Shredded Carrots, Avocado, Cherry Tomato, Mandarin Oranges, Crunchy Noodles, Asian Sesame Vinaigrette (which is apparently the most popular)
I cant wait to try more of their salads, like the meditteranean, habibi, green goddess, mexican, the possiblities are endless!!!! A definite spot to check out! They are located in the back of the mimi and coco store at 4927 sherbrooke w. Much easier to order online though

Boucherie Abu Elias - 733 Cote-Vertu
Can't wait to go back now and try the shish taouk sandwich! So nobody here has tried the delicious pizza?
Boucherie Abu Elias - 733 Cote-Vertu
Just had the best mini pizzas from there, apparently they have all kinds of fun delectables! Has anyone tried anything else there?

I would love to have the recipe of the salad dressing that used to be served with the platters at Amazona's before the restaurant closed and unfortunately became Carmines. Not that Amazonas was so fantastic, no where near as good as Marathon or Parthenon, yet i find myself really missing that salad, i know that i can create that simple blend of cabbage and iceberg at home but would love to have some imput as to what you guys think went it to that house dressing!
Best Chinese in NDG
I personally dont care for Village de Szechuan but it isfact a tad higher end than the more junkier chinese genre hotspots like kam shing and VIP (just saying). But in all honesty I cannot stand hot n spicy, the service, the food, the price, i dont like anything about it and i have not tried Mahjong but i here it wont last because it too is overpriced for what it is serving, most reviews have been awful if not simply mediocre...
Best Chinese in NDG
Maison Cheung Mei is on queen mary and delivers to NDG, they have great dinners, good prices and the food in my opinon is some of the best cantonese chinese ive had in MTL, unless u want a more gourmet szchewan experience, if that is the case village de szchewan on decarie might appeal to you more
Another RIP?? Arahova on Queen Mary
Spoke to the new owner and he told me that the new name of the restaurant would be "Yassou" which means "Hello" in Greek, told me it was going to be similar to arahova but better! Now its supposed to be open but i cant find the number anywhere on the net and they have no listing under 411...
