Dinner for 30+ Choristers near W100th or Lincoln Center. Ideas?

Another friend suggested Ollie's but LNG212 was worried about the size... what do you think>

Also to LNG212- I REALLY wanted to include Dallas BBQ as an option for the chaperones to vote down, but took head of your comment and headed to Yelp for a boatload of entertaining reviews that further dissuaded me from including it!! Oh well.

Lanskys was also suggested by someone off thread and may work.

I WISH I knew these kids better because some of the ethnic ideas would have been great. I just can't risk the whine-back reports!! (I do know my kid would LOVE it!)

My 16 yr old son was supposed to practice making a chicken pot pie for a midterm, but he seemed a little perplexed by the chicken poaching step. I dictated and he recorded all the steps (including which pan) to poach and he claimed he was all set to proceed even though I had to go out. When I got home and the pie had seen no action, I asked him what happened. Without turning away from his video game, he began with his defense: "Well, I couldn't find the pot... I couldn't find the water... I couldn't..." "WAIT!" I interrupted. "Did you just say 'you couldn't find the water?'" At that , he knew he was busted...

This is great- much appreciated. I will check these out tomorrow.

Also came up with a few others-- any thoughts on these?

V& T Pizzeria (Amsterdam & 110)

Toast- 105 & Bway or Deluxe on BWay & 106- would either be big enough?

Dallas BBQ at 72nd

Ollies Noodle Shop @ 68th

Well, $20 ahead. out the door. Not much to work with. Might be able to push it to $25- not sure.
thanks for your thoughts.

Howdy-
UWS alum here, seeking an inexpensive, child/teen friendly place that can accommodate a large number of people (30ish, mostly choir members, some chaperones). Of course they are on a shoe string budget and of course I remember the charming, funky places of my (pre-kid!) days, not the loud, crazy kid-friendly places.

Any ideas?

They are staying at W 103rd, rehearsing at W112th and hitting Lincoln Center for a show, all on a Saturday nite (of course), so they need a place either in the low 100s or around Lincoln Center-- sometime between 5pm and 7:30pm.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Fresh Basil

Two ideas:
Chop it up and freeze with a little h2o in your ice cube tray for use this fall when you are not "rolling in it!" :o) or just add it to any green salad, as you would arugula, etc. It tastes great!!
