vegan/vegetarian friendly non-chain restaurants near Union Station Toronto
Hi All,
Meeting up with friends for lunch near the Metro Convention Centre/Union Station in Toronto. We'd like to avoid chain restaurants such as East Side Mario's and Lonestar Texas Grill. We'll be dining with a vegetarian and vegan so that limits our selection. We're also looking for a place that's not over-priced theatre district or financial district expensive if such a place exist.
Looking forward to your suggestions.

reasonably priced Japanese/Sushi restaurants downtown Toronto
Which Japanese/Sushi restaurants that are reasonably priced (lunch entrees $10-$15) do you recommend that are in downtown Toronto? Looking into these neighbourhoods Entertainment District, Yorkville, Queen Streets and surrounding area. It's for a small group birthday get-together. We've already over-done Guu and been to Ematei but prefer places that also offer regular sushi offerings not just specialty small plates or authentic Japanese cuisine.
Thanks,

What are your favorite pizza flavoured snacks? I used to enjoy pizza flavoured cheese strings and Mr. Pita's pita puffs but I cant' find any of those items anymore. What happend to Pita Puffs? (Toronto/London/Niagara)
I used to buy Pita Puffs pizza flavoured snacks at different grocery stores in Niagara. I don't see them around anymore in Toronto, London or Niagara. They used to come in different flavours (BBQ, Salsa, Ranch, Original. I can't remember the brand but they used to come in checkered coloured bags.
I tried other pita puff/pita chip snacks and they just don't compare to the puffs. Stacy's brand pita chips are good but I miss the pizza flavor bite sized pieces of pita puffs.
Does anyone know where to find them?
Thanks!

Good Humour Brand used to sell them along with the chocolate mint kind. Now I can only find them at M&M Meatshops, but am wondering if Good Humour still sells them at grocery stores or convenience stores? Anywhere in London, ON or Toronto?

i always make a stop at The Philippine Deli for some authentic Filipino Food... i think it's beside beaver tails... also they have some British vendors that sell unique snacks and baked goods like sausage rolls...and for your sweet tooth ii pick up a sugar waffle/sugar puff... thinner and crispy version of the typical waffle with the works (ice cream and strawberry topping)....
