N. Conway or Jackson Area - Money is no object!

A pub for a 31st wedding anniversary.........wasn't exactly what I had in mind! :-) Sounds like the Inn at Thorn Hill is the way to go.

N. Conway or Jackson Area - Money is no object!

My husband and I will be in the N. Conway area for our 31st wedding anniversary. I've checked previous posts on this area and can find little in the way of fine dining. So far, the only places I have been able to find are:

The Notchland Inn
1785 House
Inn at Thorn Hill

There seems to be a number of B&B in the Jackson area, but I haven't been able to pin any particular one down for a romantic, fine dining experience.

Any thoughts on the those above or other suggestions? I'd be willing to drive 20-30 minutes from North Conway.

Shiraz - Persian restaurant in Elmsford, NY

I was cruising along Rt. 119 through Elmsford last week and caught sight of a Persian restaurant, Shiraz, which I believe is new. I believe the address is 83 Main Street and it's on the north side of the street, east of Rt. 9A. Any chowhounds been there?

Help! Too much salt in my cookie dough...

Considering that the amout of salt in 1/4 C is 48 times that in 1/4 tsp, I would also vote for starting over.

Just got back from Gatlinburg

Just got back from Gatlinburg and most dining a pretty dreary experience. However, we did find one gem - Mojito's, a Cuban restaurant outside of the downtown up Ski Mtn. Road. It's a small, family run place. I had one of the Cuban sandwiches and it was hot, fresh and tasty. Don't miss the black beans - rich, creamy and definitely cooked with some type of pork in them. The fried plantains are dreamy also. Best part was the prices - my hubby and I ate for less than $20.

Need ideas for South Street Seaport area

We have tickets to see Absinthe near the Fulton Fish market next week and I would like some sit-down restaurant recommendations for dinner in the area. I used to work in that area two decades ago, but don't really know it any more. I just do remember that while the South Street Seaport is nearby, no one other than tourists eat there and that it certainly wasn't know for its fine dining. We love all sort of ethnic foods, so would be most interested in those type of places.
