Best Breakfast in Providence (or close by) RI
I highly recommend The Bradford News Cafe on Atwells ave in Federal Hill. They have great breakfast food' french toast, omelets etc. You can actually have breakfast there all day long. I went there for dinner last night and had an omelet and home fries to die for! Perfectly cooked potatoes nicely seasoned with rosemary. And the omelet was big and puffy with the cheese perfectly melted inside. All the ingredients tasted fresh. I mentioned this to my friend and he said that the chef hand picks all the ingredients. Generous portion and attentive service. It's an eclectic neighborhood place. You can watch the game and have a drink there too! Next time I go back I'm going to try the chocoloate chip pancakes... my second favorite breakfast food. I hope you get to try the place. You will LOVE it!
Lobster in Fall River?
My mom wants to take me to a restaurant in Fall River that she remembers had the best lobster ever. The only problem is she can't remember the name of the restaurant. She said it was out of this world. So I'm hoping someone here can recommend their favorite places to eat great lobster in Fall River if it's even available this time of year. I have a special dinner this friday and he likes sushi. He's used to the best so in your opinion please tell me which restaurant has the best sushi in newport? I've seen reviews for Sumo sushi and Tokyo house and they are mixed. I am hoping someone can help me out here!

Best place for Thanksgiving dinner in Newport?
My family doesn't get together for Thanksgiving so I am solo. I would like to eat a traditional Thanksgiving feast but don't know the best place to go. Any suggestions?

What should I do with the rest of this yogurt?
I have a similiar situation. I'm going to use my leftover plain yogurt for an herbed yogurt sauce to go with some salmon croquettes. For your leftover eggs, I would either make a quiche or deviled eggs. Happy eating!
Dinner tonite: how's Cuvee these days?
I would go to Cuvee if I were you. I've been to Brigstens and didn't like my meal at all. I went to Cuvee and really enjoyed everything, although that day was a weekend and service was slow. But the food was so wonderful, and the wine, it was worth waiting for! I have not been to Stella.
Best seafood in newport?
I went to Rhode Island Quahog Company and found it to be moderatly enjoyable. The oysters, although they are tiny compared to the ones I get in NOLA, were sweet tasting. Yum! That scallop dish you mentioned sounds delish! Thanks for the helpful comments folks! Keep em coming!
Can you guess this caviar and where to buy it in RI?
I guess I should not have said "tiny". The eggs werent that small, but smaller than salmon roe. The taste was sweet, not as salty as some caviars. I think I could eat it for days.

I went to Sakura in Providence and had great sushi. One piece my friend ordered had the most lovely red caviar on top. Tiny eggs which tasted so good! I think it's the best caviar I've ever tasted. But the waitress didn't know what kind it was, and I don't either. Does anyone have any ideas? And secondly, where can I get it?
When should a restaurant NOT comp a meal?
Years ago I worked as a waitress in a restaurant and diners baffled me with their creative ways of trying to get their meals comped. I personally feel they should be comped if they took a couple bites of the meal and really didn't like it. Or, if the meal took so long to prepare that by the time it arrived they couldn't eat it because they had to leave. You shouldn't have to pay for what you don't consume.
If a customer consumes an entire meal and then tries to say it was terrible and they want their money back, I don't think that is appropriate. I wouldn't give them anything except a customer appreciation card!(Since they ate all their food, they surely must come back for more!)
If the service really was so bad that the diner got their food delivered late or condiments delivered so late they couldn't eat their burger, surely they should be comped. But restaurants can't afford to constantly comp a meal. This is where good managierial decision making is important.

I recently moved to newport from New Orleans. I'm very spoiled to New orleans seafood and meal quality. I'm looking for the best seafood restaurant in newport. Can anyone help me out here?
