In zagat I notice that the highest rated restaurants are pretty pricey- more than what we pay for top-quality in Seattle. by moderate I mean $10-20 for entrees. I have a car-will be staying at Sheraton Safari in Lake Buena Vista.

I saw some beautiful carrera marble that reminded me of Italy. My kitchen is very white so it would be a lot of white- white cabinets and appliances. I will have to post a photo. Natural stone and wood are so timelessly beautiful. I can't alk myslef into quartz composites. this is my first day on chowhound. where should I have posted my question? thanks so much for the input.

if you don't mind going to the Eastside (Bellevue) I highly recommend Flo's . if you go at happy hour their sushi is a bargain. go from 5-6:30. it's a lovely smal space and better than Maneki's which is supposed to be one of Seattle's best

would love opinions. I can't afford to redo the whole kitchen. I have white tiles with cobalt blue. I want to make a kitchen island with mostly brown colored granite. would these two materials look bad together? ( or adjacent) . my other option would be to do a wood island but I am worried about having my gas cooktop surrounded by wood. i have golden oak, wide-plank floors. thanks!
