Mississippi - help!

Will second the recommendation for Leatha's. Very good barbecue if you ask me. Sweet sauce, not much smoky flavor (I did miss that), but for about $13, you get a ridiculous amount of food. Home fries cooked in a big cast iron pot! And the daughter of Leatha - she's funny! Asks "I know you not gone put no ketchup on my barbecue!?" (of course not, it was for the fries, which have such great flavor, she even shook her head at our use of the condiment for those!) And, she never writes anything down! Told me she has taken an order from a group of 50 at once - and not written ANYTHING down! All that aside, it's worth your dollar, drive, and time to eat at Leatha's

Where's the best BBQ place or other restaurant in South Mississippi, especially south of Jackson?

Ate Leatha's for the first time yesterday, July 22, 2009. And IMHO, some of the best Q I've had. Not alot of smoky flavor to the meat, but the overall flavor was divine, and the sauce sweet - the way I like it. And to clear up the rumor from @tennreb from last December, Ms. Leatha IS NOT DEAD. Her daughter told me yesterday she did have a stroke a month of so ago, but is doing ok.

Will return and will recommend to anyone wanting good barbecue in Mississippi.

As for the Shed, another worthwhile stop if you are near the MS Gulf Coast. You can't go wrong.
