Best meal I ever ate:
Mom's meatloaf and her banana cream pie. I come from a family that can cook. Outside of that, I'd say last New Year's at Spenser's in the Doubletree downtown in Spokane. Perfect steak.

Latah Creek or Hogue Chardonnay, or Glen Turret single malt

blackened salmon filets with salad

Spenser's, downtown Spokane, Ivar's on the pier in Seattle, Cougar Country in Pullman WA, and Anthony's on the Spokane River. Well, and Scotty's Bar and Grill in Spokane, which makes the best chicken piccata I've ever had, and that includes Rome.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Joy of Cooking, except the one I have is new: pages fell out of the other one.
