Trader Joe's warning - and request
Their chicken pot pie is DELICIOUS! The only bad thing is the calorie count-with it being that high, you KNOW it has to be good!
Foods you love at Trader Joe's that got discontinued? [OLD]
I LOOOVVVEEEDD this stuff!!! So upset its gone!
New All-Butter Puff Pastry at Trader Joe's
I was so excited when I saw TJs had this-I immediately bought some and went home to make sausage rolls. I took one bite and was so upset...they have put sugar in the puff pastry dough! This was very disheartening as puff pastry should NOT be sweetened: shame on Trader Joe's, they should know better. I didn't buy it again but it would be "okay" for a sweet or dessert recipe, I'm sure. Just don't use it for anything savory.
Family foods I thought was normal
How about taking pickled eggplant sandwiches to school? I was teased and asked if it was dolphin, but I didn't care because they didn't know what they were missing. I also took Nutella sandwiches to school before anyone knew what it was (mid-70s in Michigan!)
Desperate to buy SASSO Wine Vinegar!!!! Please help!
Yes! It is! Thank you and the website looks familiar, so maybe I did find it here earlier. Problem is they literally charge more for shipping than for the vinegar so each bottle ends up being $7.50. I paid $2.69 when they carried it locally. I am willing to pay more than that but not 3x the price. I use A LOT of vinegar. Thanks again for looking for me-I'm hoping to get it locally again if someone finds it somewhere.
Desperate to buy SASSO Wine Vinegar!!!! Please help!
I LOVE super strong wine vinegar and a few years ago, I brought back a bottle of Sasso red wine vinegar (7%) from Italy. Well, it was the closest thing to my uncle in Italy's homemade vinegar and I was in heaven. Unfortunately, I ran out much too quickly. I searched around and found it at an Italian deli in Glendale, but they didn't always have it in stock and eventually stopped carrying it. One day I was reading my La Cucina Italiana, and there was an ad for Sasso olive oil and a phone number in New York for Sasso. To cut a long story short, the person on the other end actually contacted a local store and when I went in to talk to the manager about carrying the vinegar, he took me to the shelf and it was there! Sadly, it must not have sold enough and they no longer carry it. Lately, I have not found one store which carries it, have searched the internet to order it online to no avail, emailed Sasso with no response and am going through withdrawals without this vinegar. Has anyone seen this vinegar anywhere in the Los Angeles/Orange County/Ventura area? I am willing to drive and am ready to buy a case when I find it. Please let me know if you do...thank you SO much!
