LA/Costa Mesa area. What are your cannot-miss recommendations? So far I'm set on Animal and Apple Pan, and the boyfriend's favorite Mexican, El Ranchito. And anything good around Disneyland area? Love molecular gastronomy stuff, gastropubs, Shanghainese restaurants (are there any?!)...

Also, is Umami Burger worth all the hype?

what if any "molecular gastronomy" recipes or techniques have you adapted to use in your home cooking?

assuming you're not lucky enough to have real sous vide machines, liquid nitrogen, and the like

Onespeed Sacramento

I had a great pasta alla bolognese there though my dad's burger was sub-par compared to burgers and brew.

Vanilla Malt Frosting

delicious! 1/3 of this batch (only made 1/3 of the recipe) frosted 24 cupcakes. added a bit extra confectioner's sugar to get it to the right texture. easy too.

Stupid easy recipes you really love

do you boil the egg noodles and then just mix everything together and heat?
