Nobody has ever made hamburgers like my grandma did. She put seaweed and garlic and wheat germ and tomato and oregano in them.
My current drink of choice:
Gerolsteiner with pomegranate concentrate
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Black beluga lentils with Merguez
My favorite comfort food:
Angel hair with tons of olive oil and garlic and pecorino romano.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
I'm writing this for the real world, where unfortunately, price matters -- and I'm not always "gourmet": Green Street Grille, Henrietta's (for breakfast only), City Slicker (for the pizza, not the ambience!), Fugakayu, and some nameless place in a Druze village in Northern Israel which makes the best hummous and chopped salad you will ever experience. I'd boot any one of them off the list if Marino's ever re-opened.
