Burney Brothers Bakeries in the Jewel Stores - many, many years ago - you could order special whip cream cakes - chocolate, strawberry, etc. So very good. I have made this Chocolate Mousse cake from an old McCall's recipe book for years - very, very good and very close to BBB Chocolate Whip Cream Cake. Why are cheap hamburger so rare? Habit Burger is the new one on McClintock /Guadalupe - burger taste is good, bun, not so much. Smashburger is the very best in my humble opinion - great meat, great bun, great grilled onions....yuMMy! |

Looking for fresh goose for Thanksgiving This place is in California (so shipping charges are far less than from the East Coast) has a limited supply of fresh geese. I ordered a fresh duck from them for my sister in CA - she said it was excellent. |

Grimaud Farms (above url) is in CA so shipping won't be as $$ as from D'artagnan. I looked at ordering a duck from D'artagan and the shipping costs were more than the cost of the duck. |

Tapas or other interesting food in Chandler area? Since you were going to Cyclo - I would strongly reccommend Anise Vietnamese Restaurant - Warner & Dobson - Chandler. Rocky Gully Shiraz Wine (Western Australia) I had this wine at the Backstreet Wine Bar last Wednesday and it was wonderful. Unfortunately, I drank their last bottle. Anyone know when I can buy some? By the way, the Backstreet Wine Bar was WONDERFUL - we sat at a cute table for two in the enclosed porch - food was amazing - I had the foie gras pate....Zowie!! |
