Paso Robles - Trip Report [Long]
Next time you go to Paso, the market to find good/great wine deals is the Albertson's in a large shopping center. They have oodles of selection some at a very good price. Even cheaper that the wineries on occasion.
Argentina choripan
That is perfect as I am out in the valley. Thank you for the recommendation.
Argentina choripan
Looking for a market that sells the sausage made in a typical Argentina Choripan sandwich. Is this something I can get at Vallarta market or do i need to go more specialize.

Well having consulted with my father we have decided on Sea Harbour. mm's eyesight at the age of 80 is not what it use to be so we should be ok. I will report back when we actually go, i do appreciate the great discussion and have actually learned quite a bit. Thanks to all who have posted.

Dim Sum for mom's 80th
Thanks for the tips. The A rating is more important than the carts. I convinced them that the food is what counts not the delivery system.
Dim Sum for mom's 80th
My mother is celebrating her 80th birthday and wants to drive up for the best dim sum experience in the san gabriel valley. She like to choose off the carts so that is the only real criteria. Oh and it has to have an A rating. Thanks for any help that is provided.
Heavenly Fresh Market in West Hills
Also was really looking forward to this place opening. My wife and I were wondering if it was going to be Persian?, Italian? Greek?. When it turned out to be Israeli, we thought that could be interesting. The plus side is that the vegetables are really fresh and the prices are great. Excellent selection of hummus and such. The major negative is the hours. I understand they have a large client base that is very religious but it is a great inconvinence to have it closed on Saturdays and closing early on Fridays. I understand the reason why, it just makes it less likely I will visit this market.
Barry's English Tea
I found it at Oh Fancy That in Encino. A little speciality shop for all thing British. Thanks for asking Liu
Barry's English Tea
Cost Plus use to sell Barry's Gold Tea. I am looking for somewhere to get this anywhere in the L.A. area, but i am located in the San Fernando Valley so the closer the better.
BBQ Birthday in the SFV
While not strictly in the valley, the best BBQ in a 15 miles radius is at Willy's in Agora. Real smaoke good flavor, pork and beef with lots of sides and a full bar. Of course the best BBQ is in my backyard but ain't that always the way.
looking for good eats in palm springs
Heading out to Palm Springs and haven't been there there in a while, i like cheap eats but ant recommendation is appreciated.

Chatsworth Bound
Jose Antonio Peruvian and Chinese Cuisine on Devonshire is excellent. Very resonable prices and friendly family run restaurant.
Luzianne Tea
It is a tea that is blended for ice tea in particular. It is great to make sweet tea a southern speciality.
Luzianne Tea
I am looking for any place in the general Los Angeles or any where close (Orange County to Thousand Oaks) that sells Luzianne Tea bags. I know I can buy it online but the shippng is a killer.
new mexico HATCH green chile
I've seen the canned Hatch green chile brand at Henry's markets.
Japanese markets in the SF valley

Korean Malt Syrup In the Valley
I know there is a Korean market at Devonshire and Reseda in Northridge. I don't know the name but they seem to have all things Korean.
Japanese markets in the SF valley
Just wondering if anyone know where there is a japanese market in he valley I found chinese and korean but alas nothing from Japan. I know about the sawtelle area in west LA, but would like something closer even Thousand Oakes environ would be ok.
