For a quick lunch, I really recommend's Mario's Paninoteca: http://www.pizza-mario.ch/
The owner is really nice, and the food is good! :)
Viau metro station, where to eat
I second Panda Sushi!
Plus, I love La Bécane Rouge... very low prices for their yummy lunches.

Looking for Breakfast
I've been to La Petite Marche on St-Denis with a few people and they all loved it! They have huge "brunch" breakfasts, as well as smaller ones. My dad, who is somewhat a picky eater, won't stop raving about it.
places to take non chowish people
I have brought co-workers to Allo Inde on Stanley, which they loved. You always have the butter chicken for the "non spicy" option and we usually order tons of plates that we can share... So if you don't like one dish, try another! I think everyone can be satisfied and the prices are very reasonable.
Dinner in Albany near SUNY?
We're traveling from Montreal to the Hudson Valley and we have a stopover on a Friday night in Albany, NY. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express - Western Ave. SUNY Area, and we are looking for a nearby restaurant (for dinner).
I have read a lot of threads on the board and it looks like my best bets are either Mangia or Provence in the Stuyvesant Plaza. Any other ideas? Which one of those two is your favorite? Bonus points if you have a recommendation on the menu!
I'm also looking for a place to have dinner near Salisbury Mills, NY on Saturday night if you have any recommendations.
Girlfriend's birthday, need Ice Cream Cake
I've bought a cake from Ben & Jerry's once and, although they are commercial, they are really delicious! And you don't have to buy a big one because a small slice is enough!
Sushi on Saturday night?
Can anyone recommend a great place for sushi for 4 persons on a Saturday night? We've tried (and loved!) Geisha, Maiko and Mikado. I've heard great things about Tri Express and Sakura, but there aren't any reviews for Sakura since 2004. Has anyone been there recently? Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Cake!
We are celebrating two birthdays and I was wondering where I could buy a delicious cake for 6 persons. I have to bring it to my friends' place, which is 90 min from here (probably more today, because of the traffic), so ice cream cakes are excluded. Is there anything good at Pain Doré that may fit my needs? I need a place either downtown, plateau or in the eastern part of the island.
TIA!
One-day visit to Boston
My friends and I will be visiting your city this weekend (July 7th),. After spending a few hours surfing this board, I have a general idea of what to avoid and what is recommended. Perhaps you could give me more specific recommendations, adapted to our itinerary? It would be much appreciated, because we have never been to Boston.
For lunch, we want to have a picnic at the Boston Common, and we would like to buy tasty sandwiches beforehand. We initially thought that we could buy something at Faneuil Hall but I've understood that we should avoid this place at all costs. Pressed Sandwiches, Al's State Street Cafe, Bean & Leaf Cafe and Delicato Cafe & Catering all seem to be interesting places. Any other suggestions (or warnings on the places I mentioned)?
We will be spending our evening around Harvard Square and we would love to have dinner in a relatively unexpensive sit-down restaurant. I've heard mixed reviews about Cafe Pamplona, so I am not sure we should go there. We are pretty open-minded, so any type of cuisine is fine. Any hidden gems or places that we shouldn't miss?
Thank you very much in advance, and I look forward to hear your recommendations!
