Yakiniku in Seattle

wow--great, thank you. I'll keep looking and hopefully someone opens one up in Seattle City so I don't have to drive so far (relatively). Anyone know of any good Izakaya (japanese "tapas"/small plates) in Seattle or in the surrounding area? I've heard of this place called Vi Bacchus but I think they are also closed or about to close. Anyone ate there?

Kinda. But there are some great Yakinikus in CA AND Korean BBQs. The Japanese-owned ones always seem to be busier. Back to Seattle--there are neither Korean nor Japanese BBQs here. Is there a reason why? Or is it no one has bothered to open one. I've heard of one in Shoreline, one in Bellevue that isn't so good, and a couple in Tacoma area. Any thoughts? I think Seattle could really use one--especially one that opened late at night.

Can anyone tell me why there are no Yakiniku (grill your own meats) in Seattle? Even in the International District?
