Has anyone found a copy cat recipe on the internet that comes close to replicating Levain's cookies. There seems to be a few floating around but the reviews are divided on whether it actually replicates the real thing. Any suggestions? Otherwise I might try this which the NYTimes posted a year and half ago when they featured chocolate chip cookies on the cover of the dining section. |

We're spending a weekend in Bologna and were thinking about taking a cooking class. We amateur cooks and not looking to break the bank or spend 12 hours in someone's kitchen under intense heat. Any suggestions? |

Sept 2-12 - Venice to Bologna to Florence to Tuscany to Rome What's happening team, looking for a little help with this trip. We know we're doing a lot of places in a small amount of time so here goes. We have 2 days in Venice, staying the w/e in Bologna, 2 days in Florence, 2 days in a farmhouse/vineyard in Tuscany, then 3 days in Rome. We're always looking for great places to eat, we prefer the local spots if anyone has insight to that. We're also looking to lock in a cooking class in bologna and/or Tuscany. Finally, can anyone recommend a nice farmhouse/villa near a vineyard in Tuscany with a pool. We only have two nights. And of course a great restaurant. A good friend recommended this place in Radda in Chianti but we're open to suggestions and other villages...http://lalocanda.it/. Thanks to all of you |
