What Is America's Worst Restaurant Chain?

We still have Roy's in Maryland. Okay, but not as good as I recall back in the day. Marijuana might be the missing link.

As with all things fromage (kase?), it's big in Wisconsin. Actually, I think it's big everywhere.

Tackling the dreaded Beef wellington. What's your preference on cut?

Pretty much the same thing, but they're fool-proof. You can even cut out little decorative shapes and apply glaze them with a little egg white. Comes out real purty.

Chipotle Workers Quit, Shut Down Store, Because That Job Sucks

I'm all for collective action on the part of employees to redress grievances in the workplace. But, what makes this a little different is labor and management walking out together. That speaks volumes.

Chipotle Workers Quit, Shut Down Store, Because That Job Sucks

Of course it's "never the case"! I was being sarcastic. They'll get the mistreatment they deserve for being the worms they are.

The Vienna Inn. That's about as local as it gets.

Chipotle Workers Quit, Shut Down Store, Because That Job Sucks

Yes, and I'm sure the "ambitious few" will be richly rewarded.

Tackling the dreaded Beef wellington. What's your preference on cut?

Frozen phyllo dough sheets work well in a pinch.

Tackling the dreaded Beef wellington. What's your preference on cut?

I would suggest half a tenderloin prepared in the traditional fashion for a nice rare center.

Tackling the dreaded Beef wellington. What's your preference on cut?

Chateaubriand, filet mignon and tenderloin are all the same thing. Despite what you may have heard, Beef Wellington is not that difficult. Don't forget the bearnaise.

Transporting wine and spirits in car for 6 hours

Liquor is liquor. It'll be fine. Beer or wine should be kept in a cooler.

Seafood and Cuban / Maimi Lakes area

Casa Romeu on Miami Lakes Blvd. Excellent food, full bar.

What's the Origin of the Phrase "Dive Bar"?

That's right. The term also impugns the lowering of one's standards in the paying of custom to a "disreputable" establishment, i.e. "taking a dive".

Bourbon Steak. No small plates there.

What do dirt-poor French people eat?

When I was poor, I ate mostly rice and beans. I didn't live in France, though.

Two L.A. Hounds for Five Days. Food and Sights Itinerary?

What could be better than cheap, fresh oysters and half-price Johnnie Red? A block from the White House? Suit off.

Pizza in DC

That's because it's only recently that most of these higher-quality pizza joints have sprung up. The DC area has a long and well-deserved reputation for sorry-ass pizza. Hopefully, the best of these can hang on long enough to change that.

Some exciting pies, but where's the Greek pizza?

Two L.A. Hounds for Five Days. Food and Sights Itinerary?

Let me put on my asbestos suit...there. Check out the Old Ebbitt Grill for their happy hour oyster specials. It's been a while since I was there, but it's the best oyster deal in town.
