Food Lover's Guide to Baltimore
I like the Cozy Bar for cocktails and a ball game. As for the buffet, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans are okay. The rest is on par with what you might find in a hospital cafeteria.

Only one way to be sure, hoss. Check it out for yourself.

The Canopy on US 40 in Ellicott City. Best pit beef around. I like mine juicy and rare. They never disappoint.
Looking for a good cookout location in DC
View of what? Great Falls on the Maryland side is nice. Battery Kemble Park, maybe Glen Echo. My personal favorite is Gambrill State Park near Frederick, MD. You can rent the Tea Room on top of Braddock Mountain for about $200. The view is spectacular.
Any good German food?
It's Bailey's Crossroads. Has been for well over 150 years. Annandale is Annandale, Falls Church is Falls Church.
"A man's drink of choice , tells volumes of one's character"-- need help..
Scotch on the rocks with a splash of soda or water.
Any good German food?
The seating out back is the biergarten. Great place to while away the afternoon. The pork shank is huge, crusty, juicy and delicious.
Food Lover's Guide to Baltimore
Yes, Peter's Inn! Gotta be careful, though. They pour those drinks a little heavy.
Shrimp Salad Recipe Wanted!!!!!
Cooled steamed shrimp, lemon juice, a dollop each of Hellmann's and sour cream, minced celery and some Prudhomme's Redfish Magic. Let it chill before serving.

Snyder's Willow Grove
Maiwand Kebab
Thames Street Oyster House
Gunnings
Joe's Crab Shack Gaithersburg
The steamed shrimp, the fried chicken and cheap drinks. At the bar. Tried the breakfast "buffet" one Sunday. It was terrible. As a neighborhood bar, it's hard to beat.
Weekday breakfast in Arlington (Ballston)
Take a cab up to Lee Hwy and Glebe to Route 29 Diner.
Joe's Crab Shack Gaithersburg
Agree on the Taco Bar. Or, head over to Hershey's in Washington Grove for cheap cocktails, steamed shrimp, fried chicken and women's basketball on the big screen TV. That's what I call a night out!
Maker's Mark bourbon - faux wax seal?
It's sealing wax, not candle wax. Nothing out of the ordinary. You can buy a stick of it in the stationery to seal your letters. What's the big deal?
Mosaic District opening Fall 2012 in Merrifield, VA
Hell. Best steak and cheese anywhere.
Mosaic District opening Fall 2012 in Merrifield, VA
There is also an outpost of the famous Mario's in the shopping center there. Same great steak and cheese as the original Wilson Blvd. location. AFAIC, this is a far more important development than Mosaic for Merrifield.

Lee Hwy. and Gallows Road, more or less as the epicenter. It's friggin' huge.
Top ten favorite things to eat (and where to get them) in Baltimore
Have to add the lobster roll at Thames Street Oyster House in Fells Point. I could eat three of those things. Man...!
Top Ribs in FLA
There's also Jack's Barbeque at exit 1 on I-95, just south of the FL-GA line. Great chopped pork sandwich and ribs.
Please comment on the list of restaurants for first week of April
Second for Greek Isles. Ate there twice last week, once with a party of 14. The lamb chops, shrimp and grilled octopus are outstanding. They don't take reservations and they stay filled up, so it's best to get there early.
Any good German food?
Everyone avoids the Bavarian if they can. A grim Teutonic redoubt above the Potomac, with owners to match.
Any good German food?
The shank they served us at Der Schmank was more like a small ham. Two of us worked it over and there was still enough to make a pot of black beans when we got home. Pure porky heaven.
Suggestions for the best Greek restaurant in or near Tarpon Springs?
Hella's. Get the Greek-style grouper. It will knock you out.
Inexpensive (Wedding) Catering options in DC
Plenty of top-shelf liquor and a taco truck.
HELP!! Trying to find an certain kind of restaurant/bar in NoVa or DC
You win for funniest handle on the board.
Easy, cheap eats in DC - do they even exist?
Cheap rent, cheap eats. High rents, expensive eats. Just the way it is.
Grass-fed meat in bulk?
Hedgeapple Farms in Buckeystown, MD. Schultz's Meats in Emmitsburg, MD. Mt. Airy Meat Locker. All will sell you a quarter or half a beef. Half a beef is a LOT of meat, by the way.
