Searching for glucose syrup in Seattle
Does anyone know where I can buy glucose syrup in Seattle? I need it for candy making, so looking for just plain glucose syrup. I don't want to use Karo which has salt and vanilla flavoring. There are several internet sources, but shipping triples the cost. I am looking to buy it in 5-10 lb increments, but would consider it in larger quantities such as 60 lb (5 gallons).
Thanks.
Vegetable Suet in Seattle
paulj,
Thanks for the post and you are correct in what I am looking for. There is a brand called Atora but I am open to any brand.
gmm,
Vegetable suet usually has a higher melting point that affects recipes differently than regular crisco. Thanks for the recommendation for the British Pantry. I will definitely check them out.
Vegetable Suet in Seattle
Does anyone happen to know of anywhere in the greater Seattle or Portland area where I can get vegetable suet, either solid or shredded? This is pretty well available in the UK, but I can't find it here and want to avoid paying the huge shipping charges if possible.
Thanks.
Grand Rapids - Great Restaurant wanted
I will be traveling to Grand Rapids next week and am looking for a recommendation for the best restaurant in town. I will be dining by myself, so if anyone knows a great restaurant for a solo diner foodie in GRR, let me know.
Thanks!
Phoenix - In search of great Peking Duck

If no Peking Duck, any suggestions for the best tamales in town? I am staying by the airport.

How come there are no Sriracha flavored chips/snacks?
Came across your post when I was searching for sriracha and wanted to let you know they do make sriracha peas. Brand is called Hapi Snacks and product is Spicy Sriracha Peas. They come in a 4.9 oz can and they are awesome! I buy mine at Uwajimaya here in Seattle, but you can probably find them in any asian or international market. We also pick up sriracha ramen noodles there that are really good too if you like ramen. Enjoy!
