Vegan-friendly Mexican in Houston?

We actually ended up going to Chuys, which has a big vegetarian menu, and they happily made the veggie enchiladas without cheese (which my friend loved). Good to know all of their rice and beans are vegetarian too, even the charro. Thanks for the suggestion of Radical Eats - we'll check it out next time!

Vegan-friendly Mexican in Houston?

I have a friend visiting Houston who is a vegan and would like to go out for a great Tex-Mex dinner with a group of non-vegans. Any recommendations?

Chinese in the Triangle for Chrismas Dinner?

We went to Super Wok and it was delicous! Our Raleigh friends said it was the best Chinese they'd had locally so thank you for the recommendation.

Chinese in the Triangle for Chrismas Dinner?

Chazzer, we're up for either! And TerryG, that sounds great! We might be doing more of an early bird special timing but we'll definitely check out the restaurant.

Chinese in the Triangle for Chrismas Dinner?

Looking for a Chinese restaurant that will be open on Christmas for the traditional Christmas Chinese and a movie for those of us who aren't celebrating. Any suggestions for Raleigh, Durham or Chapel Hill? We'd love something that was nice enough to eat in and not just do take-out.

Thank you!

Baby Shower Recommendations?

I'm looking to host a baby shower for about 30 ladies in March of next year, and I'd love suggestions on pretty private rooms to host in. It'll be a foodie group so anything along the lines of Shade/Canopy/Gravitas would be great, preferably in the West U/Heights end of town. Price isn't as much a concern as ambiance and taste. Thank you in advance!

Loire Valley Restaurant and Winery recommendations?

We did a lot of dropping into small bakeries and getting little baguette sandwiches. No real restaurant lunches for the most part.

Recommendations for Upper Hudson Valley/Greenport/Chatham?

My husband and I are staying in Greenport (upstate, not the one in Long Island) for a weekend. I'd love a nice place to take him for his birthday on Sunday night, and then we would love to just eat well the rest of the time - bakeries, farms, restaurants, all recommendations would be appreciated!

Loire Valley Restaurant and Winery recommendations?

Our favorite meals of the trip were Le Bon Laboreur and the restaurant inside the beautiful Chateau de Noizay hotel. Lunches were all quick and fast on the road, so nothing there to recommend. But the dinners were very memorable, long and delicious! I still dream about the Noizay cheese trolley and the surprisingly modern and innovative desserts at Laboreur.

Sunday lunch in Paris near the Tuileries?

We are looking for somewhere low-key but delicious to eat on Sunday near the Tuileries as we are going to the Musee des Art Decoratifs and the Petit Palais for exhibitions. I've had lunch at one of the little cafes in the gardens, but I wasn't very impressed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Where to eat in Paris on Sunday night?!

Thanks! I'll look those up.

Where to eat in Paris on Sunday night?!

Thank you! I had a hard time finding the old threads so that is so helpful.

Loire Valley Restaurant and Winery recommendations?

I have looked at the older posts, but I wasn't sure if anything newer had opened up or if any of the recommended restaurants had lost their luster. We do have Le Bon Labourer on our list so it's great to hear that someone liked it!

Where to eat in Paris on Sunday night?!

My husband and I are going to be in Paris on our honeymoon over a weekend until Tuesday morning. We are going to Chateaubriand on Saturday night, but I'm at a loss for Sunday especially and a little bit Monday. Everywhere I want to go seems to be closed! Doesn't need to be super-fancy, just really tasty. We are staying in the Marais, so bonus points if it's actually close-ish to us. Thanks!!

Loire Valley Restaurant and Winery recommendations?

My husband and I are heading to France for our honeymoon, driving through the Loire Valley for several days. We're from New York, so we would love to really concentrate on eating local food while we're there. We are hoping to visit a few wineries and would definitely love to visit any farms where we could get local cheeses. And then since it is our honeymoon after all, we'd love a nice dinner or two. Thanks for any recommendations you can give us!

Going to London for New Year's!

Thanks! I've heard good things about Maze, so that's great to hear another recommendations. The Asian options sound interesting too.

Going to London for New Year's!

We're heading from NYC to London for 4 days over New Year's, staying in Shoreditch. We'd love to try a mix of high-end restaurants and foodie finds, staying away from anything that we could get easily in NYC (like sushi, italian, etc.). If there are any winter musts, that's great to know too. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Reservations to Blue Hill at Stone Barns

I have a 9:30 reservation for 2 tonight that I can't use. I'd love for someone to take our spot to avoid the cancellation fee. Just let me know if you are interested for sure and I will give you the name they are under.

Richmond to Farmville

We ended up going to 3 Monkeys in Richmond, which was just delicious and I highly recommend!

Richmond to Farmville

I'm driving from Richmond, Virginia to Farmville, VA (which is the southeastern part of the state) and am looking for any good breakfast/brunch spots along the way. Richmond is fine, as long as it doesn't pull us too far out of our path - we are flying in so the trip starts from the airport. Thanks!
